To be honest, Mayweather just edges Martinez at 160lb. The fight would start off compelling but it would quickly turn boring after the 3rd round when it becomes clear that Martinez can't land anything and Mayweather (rightly or wrongly) will get no credit for beating a faded Martinez.

Once Mayweather dispatches Martinez he would be expected to clean up the division. However when he drops back down to 147, people will scream DUCKER! Lets be clear, Mayweather gets knocked clean out by GGG at 160lb.

Moving to middleweight is really a no win situation for Mayweather. I'm happy watching Mayweather clean out the WW division till he retires.
NO one beats May jr the Great in the 147's but Pac

There is NO one that can stay with JR in the 140's but PAC

Khan is OUT, gets KO'd too easy.
    Danny G is too slow

fact is weight divisons come and go, and presently there is no one that JR will fight in the 147's that will challenge him.

DON't PICK on old people,,,,HOP and Martinez are too old for JR

    YOUNG blood is IN,,,,

why don't you know Jr will walk up and down one side of GGG and skin that head and warm it up real good and become the GREATEST MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPEEN of da WORLD !!!!!!!!

Let GGG fight SM and then JR can go walk over GGG

GGG has beaten a string of opponents he wassupposed to beat. Yes, he has tremendous power and a great amatuer pdigree. But maybe he should beat a world class level fighter first before he fights one of the handful of greatest fighters ever.

Sergio is the best MW in the world, top 5 p4p and the lineal champ. If floyd goes to 160 it should be for him, no 2nd tier MW's like quillin or GGG.

Just because HBO is giving him the push and the shine doesn't make him the best MW in the world.
Dunn ,, come on now , Sergio and GGG are in the making, then Mayweather JR the GREAT can then take on GGG and whup his AZ and become the Greatest FIGHTER OF ALL TIME

GGG should fight Martinez and Knock him OUT

IT would be a wide open fight for JR the GREAT to match into GGG the undefeated MW champ, the Lineal MW Champ and

Jr can go skin up GGG's head and warm it up real goooooooood !!!

LMFAO at anybody at 160 being a big draw other then MAYBE Martinez MAYBE!

Here comes to FORUM HYPE again

GGG is not even a draw yet, casual fans especially in america have no ***in clue who GGG is at the moment

Martinez at the moment is the only one worth going up to 160 for and it would be a BIG FIGHT...the rest are not even a Draw Yet and haven't even accomplished much

But he did not see this coming, then if he goes up to 160 and he beats Martinez after then it will be people calling for him to go to 168 and fight Ward it is a never ending quest to see Mayweather lose

Mayweather can't even keep his weight up to 150 before the fight but he should go to 160? LMFAO

This is Boxing not the WWE

no floyd should fight sergio next.

If the BS network/promoter crap didn't exist- GGG should fight curtis; quillin fights rosado; the winners fight to see who the #2 MW is.

Sorry guys, GGG is no higher than quillin. Just because HBO annoints him doesn't mean a ****in thing.

Sergio/GGG may be in the making. I don't know. But its the only makeable fight between 2 top 5 p4p fighters unless ward and sergio fight. (assuming we dont get floyd jmm 2, which we probably wont given what happened the 1st time)

He has been Lineal at 147 since the Mosley fight..Mosley became lineal after beating Margo

how would floyd compete at 160 if he isn't willing to go to 154 against a guy who comes in at 170+lbs...don't all of the guys at 160 come in over 170lbs at fight night??
