Mmmmm just retire champ you got no more opponents left buddy, and to be honest 160 is loosing your advantage over the opponents.you cant weight drained opponents, sergio is no cherrypick.

Just like reynoso said dont understimate your opponents.
Take it easy man just fight khan, alexander, danny garcia, broner and call it a day.

You got nothing else to prove champ.

Anybody who can make 154 There is no more fighters south of 154 that would do anything for Floyd's resume (maybe pacman).

but I don't think this fight will happen.

        I just wrote it here:

"Manny let alone, I don't see anyone up to 154 who could help Floyd sell a big PPV fight right now."

Canelo is a few inches shorter and has significantly less reach

Don't want to see this fight period. I'd probably rather watch Hopkins fight him over this. Sergio is definitely on his last leg. Too many injuries.

I've wanted this for a while, I believe Floyd has the skills to beat the best 160 pounders and I believe he can get above 154 for the weigh in. Why not.

You mean you don't want to see Floyd vs Sergio? Me neither...
But Floyd vs Hopkins would have to be sold as stand up comedy or something like that.

Nor do they have the kind of fanatic fanbase that would buy the fight anyway despite the lack of competition.

Either he fights at 160 on PPV or nobody is buying. I've seen plenty of his own fans say the same thing. Or he can just fight on regular CBS against any of these no-hopers and probably pull a decent rating.

It was ****** of Showtime to sign such a ridiculous deal with Mayweather in the first place knowing that they only had one fight (Alvarez) that was a guaranteed sell. Nobody wants to see Mayweather vs. Khan, Alexander, Bradley, or Ortiz.
Because you dont know anything about business.

The mere fact that in a year Showtime went from being second rate to quite possibly holding the payperview record in a little over a year has done alot for them period.... You cant even buy that kind of publicity....

Showtime is known for boxing now. HBO has taken a huge hit and this all in x1 year!!!

You could take the money they gave floyd and had them try and advertise for showtime and it wouldnt generate this kind of buzz. Plus they now have golden boy as well....

This is actually a win for them whether you know it or not... Floyd has crossed over, and everyone knows it. You dont seem to realize how big floyd is now....

Matthysse, garcia etc all on show time now....

I mean seriously think about that for a second.... Mayweather, goldenboy, and Canelo promotions promoted the fight.....

Canelo is makin 11 million dollars for his last fight......

Showtime is a household name... and truth be told even in the near future showtime will have hbo beat....

This was an investment.... not a short term deal.........
