... I know he wouldn't... But some people around here are nurturing the delusional idea that he would entertain such a fight.

HOW did we KNOW this was gonna happen ?????

The DuckMister is at work !!!

Mayweather wouldn't even acknowledge that Martinez was alive much less take up his challenges when he was in his late prime, but now that Sergio is OUT his PRIME and waiting for the taking, this writer is saying this is a prime fight ? This is BS !

I say let the middleweights fight, The WBA against the WBC lineal and that winner take on JR for the MiddleWeight Champeenship of da WORLD at 160

My prediction is GGG will slaughter the old worn out SM and JR will DUCK GLORY MAKING HISTORY and not fight GGG,,,,KFC !!!!!!!

        I hope I am wrong

Guys, didn't you learn anything when prediciting floyd wouldn't fight Canelo. Did you learn anything when danny beat Lucas?

GGG has beaten a string of opponents he wassupposed to beat. Yes, he has tremendous power and a great amatuer pdigree. But maybe he should beat a world class level fighter first before he fights one of the handful of greatest fighters ever.

Sergio is the best MW in the world, top 5 p4p and the lineal champ. If floyd goes to 160 it should be for him, no 2nd tier MW's like quillin or GGG.

Just because HBO is giving him the push and the shine doesn't make him the best MW in the world.

... And my prediction is that "the fighter of the decade" would never take a Canelo fight even at a 149 catchweight. Right?

who's going to by this? the american casuals wouldn't even know who this guy is. you can sell them sergio cuz he is a proven PPV commodity after the chavez fight. darren barker isn't going to get casuals to tune in even if it is for some meaningless MW paper belt. thats less PPV worthy than the Guerrero fight was.

Aren't YOU the ONE among others that back the Mayweathers claim that SIZE don't matter, its all about SKILLS ???!!!!!!!

Yeah YOU are the one mang, just think how much slower those 160's will be and JR will be perfect for it with his speed and counter punching, he will dance around them potshotting all night long.

We need to encourage the GREAT MAYWEATHER JR to MARCH FORWARD and CONQUER !!!!!!!! HAVE NO FEAR JR IS HERE !!!!!!

Sergio at this stage in his life won't land a punch on JR the GREAT !!!!!! This will be a dud fight ! Let the Middleweights sort out who's the best MW (GGG) and then JR can fight HIM (GGG) for the Most Glorious Title in History the MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISON.

I knew he'd take canelo. he's been trying to get that kid in the ring since he was 19. he won't fight martinez at 160 though. and your right GGG should fight martinez next so he can be lineal champ. then floyd should go for the lineal MW title. you give this guy too much credit.
