Sugar Robinson, Tommy hearns, and Charley Burley at 147.....I wouldn't favor anyone to beat him at 130 to 140....Armstrong has the best shot....great chin, stamina, power and good speed...id favor him in a 15 rounder...12 I go with Floyd

Nobody disputes that Floyd is an ATG (not counting hopelessly deranged Paqtards). The problems only surface when lovesick Fl0mos start proclaiming him "THE best ever" when clearly he's not. If they'd just leave it as "one of the best ever" nobody would have any issue. But no, they can't do that. They HAVE to pop off with bull**** about how Floyd would smoke Robinson or Leonard or Hearns or Duran ect ect ect. THAT'S what causes the problems.

In a fantasy fight I'd pick James Toney to beat Floyd.

There's nobody out there from 140-154 that will even win more than 2 rounds against Floyd. Whether you make that into a testament to Floyd's greatness or you just look at it like a pathetic era (like I do) is totally up to you. However, great champions look to challenge themselves when no challenges present themselves.

Floyd could totally win a title at 160 and it'd be historic and memorable, but he doesn't seem interested in challenging himself in that way. I guess I can't blame him considering he's still making boatloads of money fighting no-hopers, but it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here because I can't see him cracking 1 million PPV buys with anybody from 140-154 right now. Nobody else from 140-154 has a big enough fan base or is seen as a big enough threat to him to warrant a mass buy.

Showtime look like total ****s right now for giving him so much money when there was nobody compelling for him to fight apart from Alvarez, which they just cashed out on.
If he does I hope it's a meaningful fight against a good credible opponent, but again...the way Canelo's punches moved him didn't sit too well with me despite his dominance.

The one thing that sets Mayweather apart from everyone else is his ring intelligence. He would be able to come with the right game plan against any current or past ATG. If it's simply skill against skill, then some of the greats would definitely beat him. But once the Mayweather boxing brain (to include Roger and Sr) come up with a game plan, the fight is won before it even begins.
