I feel like there is or was any fighter that can beat Mayweather. Maybe there were greater fighters, but when it comes to who would beat who...I don't think anyone beats Mayweather. His style is just too advanced even for this era. It's based off the old school style that fighters of previous era possessed, but eventually styles evolve. You discover new ways to improve that style and in the future, Mayweather's style might be improved to something better. In that sense, I feel like maybe in the future we can see someone beat Mayweather in a fantasy fight, but not right now.

Boxing isn't a video game. Floyd hasn't discovered any cheat codes that nobody knew about before. In fact, there's nothing that Floyd does that others weren't doing as far back as the 1940s.

He's the best of his Era.
        Best of all time? Nope
Watch, in another 50 years, there'll be another guy who'll tout he's the best of all time and people will be ranking him up there

As good as Clay/Ali was, Mayweather is definitely more skilled. The thing about trying to naming other atgs that would be favorite to beat Mayweather is that we still don't really know exactly how good he is. The problem with these "atg ranking" discussions is that they're too dependent on resumes or names on paper.

People who think that they can judge Mayweather's greatness just by the names on his resume then they're not making an accurate assessment. It's not just who he's beaten it's how he beat them. In 45 fights he's only really been in 1 close fight. People want to say "oh this guy beats him, this guy knocks him out" but that's silly because we've never seen him get pushed to the brink except that 1st Castillo fight. I'm one to think that opponents the caliber of Leonard, Duran, Whitaker, ect would bring out something in Mayweather that we have yet to even see in him. We saw those guys at their very best because they went up against each other. Mayweather has no peers.

Ok, boxing is not a video game. Pretty sure you knew that wasn't the point but anyways. I'm not talking about shoulder rolls and and the slips, or the pull back counters. It was more evolving the style, incorporating it with other styles. But not even just the styles. The training is more evolved now, and no I'm not talking about machines and technologies. I'm talking standards. These days, it's not enough to just have a trainer. You need strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionist, chefs. If people were sparring 10 rounds for a 15 round fight back then, these days people are sparring 15 rounds for 12 round fights with fresh new partners coming in every round. If Roberto Duran was one of the best drinking alcohol back then, these days we have fighters committing their whole lifestyle to boxing to not even touch alcohol. And let's be honest, if you don't see the difference between the way fighters threw punches back then compared to the way they throw them today, you're crazy.

You really trying to tell me boxing doesn't evolve? Come on.

Dude. You aren't living in the Matrix. And btw, they were sparring for 20 rounds for a 15 round fight and this after doing 6 miles of roadwork in the morning. You're obviously pretty damn ignorant about how fighters used to prepare for fights.

Sorry, but sports science isn't turning today's fighters into bionic supermen. Your generation isn't superior to generations past and the sooner you figure that out the better. If anything boxing has DEvolved as too many skills that past generations had are lost today.

LOL , Yes we all go around the same track on lifes path , and being human our nature is that we buy beg and steal learning from everybody before us to form each of us as an individual , Floyd don't do any single thing different that wasn't done before , but blend them all together .

Jimmy Lennon , the one and only Floyd Mayweather Jnr .

In relation to who ? what fight are you talking about ?

Are you trying to say because Juan was schooled by Floyd doesn't mean Manny will be ?

I agree with that , but because its Floyd fighting Manny , that's the reason I feel Floyd will school Manny , what he did to Juan only bolsters what I already know , what he did to Canelo only bolsters what I already know , Ive been saying this from the beginning .

Floyd will school Manny , you will see if they ever square up .
