Overpaying like crazy? Don't be ridiculous, they paid 2.2 mil for Dawson- ward and it only got 1.3 mil viewers. Also paid 2 mil for rios- Alvarado 2 which got 1.2 mil. HBO probably aren't even paying 1 mil for this figh and it will do similar numbers. Golovkin comes cheap

HBO is now where Showtime use to be! Bunch of foreign fighters on their roster now. Their only cashcow is Manny. Ross Greenburg was a sports marketing genuis! Once he left all their original sports programming left. Inside the NFL is now on Sho as well.

Without a doubt though, Showtime would pony up for an opportunity to have Ward on their network.

It would definitely mess that up if he left. I don't know why GGG's team is saying these things though. Both sides want to eventually meet, why not keep it as copacetic as possible until then

Back in 2011 (after winning the Super Six), Ward switched from Showtime to HBO. Ward fought just once since then -- the big champ Dawson at 168.
