He beat Hatton, Mosley, ODH after Floyd. He beat Cotto at 145 and Margs at 151. The majority of writers/media felt he lost the 2nd and 3rd fights to JMM.

He is a 1st ballot HOF'er, FOTD, FOTY and china's #2 star. He's just not better than Floyd.
I love how floydiots cling to this as if its somehow significant. Nore sure whether they are going for the 'slick' option or the 'Raheem ruins fighters' one.....or both when it suits. Either way it gives us all a little laugh!

And as far as 'beat them after floyd' goes...So fooking what? He beat the donkey out of all of them by comparison. Is that somehow relevant too?

Some posters sure do gt mad when you post something factual. wonder why.

Its relevant because every great fighter's career has a "demarcation" point where you can see they clearly are not what they used to be. In Erik Morales case this point is the Zahir Raheem fight.

Pre Raheem eric: 48-2 only lost to MAB, beat Manny.
Post Raheem eric: 4-7 (including loss to zahir), lost to Manny twice

SO its clear Manny didn't beat ATG Eric that beat Junior Jones, he beat the one that barely beat Cano, lost to David diaz, Zahir, and beat the likes of willie Limond and fancisco whatever.

SO when evaluating his resume, which one does when determining ATG status, we should take that into consideration.

As for beating them first, its clear that, as with the case with manny and cotto, Floyd beat better versions of those fighters. SO its an attempt to make the objective as subjective as possible by using facts.

So YOU decide that was Erik's "demarcation" point? Err yeah, why of course you would! It is in reality, just you speculating through the fabric of your TMT onesie...or in other words, complete bollocks.

I base my opinion on his record following this fight and the fact he got routed in a fight he was heavily favored to win in a tuneup against a vastly inferior fighter. Nothing more, nothin less.

The only reason you are pretending this argument isn't valid is because I made it.

No, but that is also a very good point. You're the most biased poster on this site, and as such, all of your opinions have that familiar whiff about them.

even if this was true, it wouldn't change erik's record nor his performance in the raheem fight and his career after it. When posters like you can't refute the message they go after the messenger. Nothing new.

                  • Nobody actually values the Pac-Morales 2 win as anything more than an average win do they? Morales was clearly shot to pieces at that point. Although Manny is known for fighting losers rather than winners throughout the last ten years of his career, so a shot to pieces Morales isn't surprising in the least.

everybody knows floyd's the better boxer and would've probably beaten manny then and now. but it's a shame he didn't have the balls to fight him, and the balls to fight the best ww when they were prime, and instead went on vacation. but don't worry, even if he's lower than manny on the atg list, you can still shake your pompoms on how much more moolah he has over manny
