So because Murray did good vs a Martinez coming of an injury and a hard fight vs Chavez Jr whom was a cruiser on fight night. Point is Murray is no better than Stevens, and Stevens is giving excitement with his style. Point is it's a duck by Murray, and an awesome oppurtunity for Murray whom was/is having visa problems to fight in the US.

Murray was a universally ranked top 10 middleweight coming off a draw against Sturm in Germany, which many people thought he won. He is currently ranked #7 by The Ring and ESPN and #4 by Boxingscene. Murray also has a fighting style that's difficult to look good against. He hides in a turtle shell and throws the occasional 1-2 when he sees an opening, he also has decent stamina.

The Martinez criticisms were ridiculous because he was taking on a top 10 contender while coming off a hand injury and knee surgery.
