Actually Brinkley is a blown up middle. Remember he was an also ran on the Contender MW, lost to Mora. And Primera is a blown up welter and a bum. If you discount Murray due to Martinez' shape, what do you say about a guy in the middle of a 1-17 run?

The point is I'm not saying Stevens is world class, I was just asking what makes Murray better, or what makes him worth more than $250,000, and the fight on his own turf vs a belt holder? What more does he want?? I discount Murray because he's not all guys making him out to be. Nor do i think Stevens was worth $300,000, but he got it. Stevens loses does not make Murray better than him. I didn't bring Stevens into this, I just gave my thoughts on other posters whom compared Murray and Stevens. Yes Stevens is in a better state of mind than he was as well as fellow fighters like Rosado, Johnny Gonzo, and Soto Karass. Some learn the hard way early in their careers and take loses. Some like Berto, Ortiz just to name a few take loses later on and both of those guys are younger than the fighters above.

He's worth more than that because he's a proven fighter who's done more than Chocolate despite Chocolate being the belt holder
Fighting on his own turf is something that comes as an added bonus of GBP for some reason, don't know why they're doing that.

I was just explaining why he's a lot more deserving: impressive vs top comp, and no bad losses. Btw I agree Murray is nothing special, but a lot more deserving. Also agree 250k in hometown is a good deal for him, if he's confident in his chances.

He fought B and C level fighters. He was KO by a shell of him former self Francisco Javier Castillejo he was 38 and @ the end of his career .Sturm refused to fight the likes of Jtaylor, Pavlik, Bhop, Abraham, and Miranda whom were the cream of the crop @ middle weight during Sturm's run which I've already posted. Strum turned down GGG over and over, GGG was his Mando. His "Murray" performances wasn't all that! GGG vs Rosado, vs Macklin, vs Proska are elite performances. Kid Choc vs Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam whom was undefeated and a top 5 middle weight by different sanctions was elite performance dropped him 5-6 times, don't want to hear Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam won. Kid Choc vs Fernando G was elite a performance. I'll tell you right now Murray would have a hard time vs Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam, and probably lose. Murray was having trouble with Martinez's movement early in the fight, until Martinez was wore down. Some had to do with Murray and some had to do with his rehabing. Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam is a supreme mover with supreme condition.
