And there was Baldomir (please), Judah(please, please) and Mitchell and Corley ( camon).

In essence, take a good look at his opponents in that last 10 years!!! Not very impressive.
Or, we could look at the facts. He and Pacquiao didn't want to fight each other, let's take a look at his opposition

Canelo Alvarez- WBC/WBA Champ, #1 ranked Jr. Middle, best chalenge out
Robert Guerrero- WBC Interim Champ, #2 ranked welter, best challenge out
Miguel Cotto- WBA Super Champ, #1 Jr. Middle, best challenge out
Victor Ortiz- WBC Champ, #2 ranked welter, best challenge out
Shane Mosley- WBA Super Champ, #1 ranked welter, #3p4p, best challenge
Juan Manuel Marquez- WBO, IBO, WBA Super Champ, #2pfp
Ricky Hatton- IBF, WBA Champ, undefeated, top 10 p4p
Oscar De La Hoya- WBC Champ, #1 ranked jr. middle
Carlos Baldomir- WBC Champ, #1 ranked welter
    Zab Judah- IBF, IBO Champ
    Arturo Gatti- WBC Champ

    what a coward.

I am just expressing my opinion and I think Mayweather's level of competition is low.

Think about this for just a moment; De La Hoya in his prime fought a Quartey, Trinidad, Vargas, and a prime Mosley.

Has any Mayweather opponent in the past 10 years been better than these fighters?

Because if anyone thinks that Ortiz, Guerrero, Hatton, Judah, old Mosley and De La Hoya, or tiny Marquez were better than those guys I mentioned before you have to be out of your mind.

I didn't even mention De La Hoya's fights with Pernell or Carr.

I am not saying De La Hoya is better than Mayweather, what I am saying is that he fought better competition.
This is no secret. No one stated that Mayweather has a deeper resume than De La Hoya.

Hell when De La Hoya was fighting those guys at WW Floyd was still at 130/135. You couldn't get the GOOD fighters at that weight to take a fight against him. You can't knock him for that.

              1) younger years where inexperience is a significant factor
              2) becoming more experienced and moving into their prime
              2) a seasoned veteran sloping downward in terms of their physical attributes

Canelo is clearly still in category #1 (despite his 42 fights, he is only 23, and almost all of his fights have not been against top competition)

When Mayweather fought Mosley and Cotto (for example), they were both clearly in category #3.

Floyd doesn't seem to understand the above reality. What people have criticized him for (and perhaps with some justification -- I don't know all the ins & outs and politics behind the scenes) is that he hasn't fought more top-tier opponents in category #2. Instead he tries to spin his resume as though the different categories didn't exist. ........ But they do, Floyd.
Post of the thread, come on people, let's end it here and let Floyd cry himself to sleep at night lol

I see what you saying and you make valid points but I think you are comparing things beyond his and any one else's control, They are from different era's obviously they overlap the same way Canelo overlaps with Floyd...

AThis being said, im not so sure De La Hoya Beats who Floyd beat but im more positive Mayweather beats who Dela hoya beat

Guerrero, Hatton, Cotto are 3 guys I think could of beat Dela, add to that Dela was not undefeated like Floyd...

And like you, I have opinions, one being that I think Pernel beat Dela and I feel Trout beat Canelo...

Everyone has there opinion and every era is compared to other eras...

The only stat that matters is that Floyd never lost and gets no credit because for wins because hes made things look relatively easy...
