You do realize that hill had been beaten up by michlewski the year before,, and that mccallum was an ancient 40+ year old that was a great jr mid and middleweight fighter but had no business going any higher,,,,

I give roy about as much credit for beating the ancient mccallum as i do his win over tito...

Hill was a better win, but people act like it was a prime hill from the late 80s to early 90s,,, Hill was on the downhill slide when roy fought him,,, hill was still a top ranked guy but nowhere near his prime,,,,,

Joe Calzaghe was better than both of them.

He was better. He BEAT Hopkins when both were prime, not those sideshow "fights" later on. He accomplished more.

This is of course assuming Hopkins dont go doing anything miraculous at this stage in his career. Though everything he is doing in the ring is miraculous really at his age now

Because Roy Jones Jr. peak and accomplishments overshadows BHop's. Putting things in numerical form.

Roy Jones scored a 10,000 playing the game.

BHop played the same game scoring 2000s and 3000s, collectively he may have surpassed Jones Jr. in the points acquired, but in terms of height? Nope.

I am a huge Roy fan but in all honesty there is no way i can rank him higher at all..Hopkins with his 20 titles defenses and now a 3 time champ at 175 at the age of 48 is down right amazing

Roy Jones could have had 100 title defences if he decided to milk and stay at 160 for an exhaustingly long amount of time.

Hopkins title defences mean nothing. Title defences in general mean nothing. Less than 10 of those defences were impressive or legitimate wins.

Roy Jones is the better fighter both historically and head to head.

I like Jones way way way more than Hopkins. Hell I dislike Hopkins like a motherfucker but I don't see Jones being greater than Hopkins. Plus the losses that Jones is getting now just makes it easier to decide overall who's greater.
