As said, better wins and comparable accomplishments.

Winky wasnt a good 170 but him and B-hop about the same size,,, plus winky said he wanted to fight the best win or lose,,, he was a real competitor, and he said hopkins was the best and he wanted to test himself vs the best....
Even if it was at MW,, hopkins would beat him,,,,

Holmes, tito, joppy, pascal, pavlik, cloud, winky, are great wins IMO.. cloud not a great fighter but bhop was 48 so i give him credit for dismantling yet another young undefeated champion,,,
The names may be comparable on roy and hopkins resumes, but the timing of the fights, hopkins fought guys at their peak,, and jones not so much

I think if you take hopkins achievements they are better than roys,,,
but roy was the better H2H guy....
Winky was far from prime. He was struggling with guys like Soliman even at 154 and fought life and death with Taylor. Quartey and Forrest were washed up by 2006 unfortunately.

That Quartey win for Wright meant absolutely nothing, and didn't do anything after Hopkins

He got robbed vs taylor, who has the undefeated undisputed MW champ in his prime,,,

soliman and ike were no easy outs for anyone,,, and i dont think winky struggled with them... Winky just didnt have ko power, so he could never blow anyone out of the water,,,,, he is taking you to a decision everytime, and solimon was a very awkward fighter with unbelievable endurance, he was a headache for anyone,,,

not saying winky was hops greatest win,,, i do think it was a very good win..
winky was a p4p guy then,, i actually had him in the top 5 after schooling shane twice and tito,,,,

I thought the Wright/Taylor fight was a draw. Then Wright declined a rematch, and jumped up another 10 lbs

Sorry, but I just don't think Wright was in his prime. How could he be in his prime at light heavyweight? He looked fat and slow there

I have to agree that Hopkins resume is far better than Jones

I thought winky easily won a 7-5, 8-4 fight,,, he bounced on the rematch because he wanted even money with taylor to go to memphis and fight again,, probably a bad business move, but winky had alot of those,,,

I think winky was still prime,,, just not at his prime weight,,, he wasnt a shot fihgter like he was vs williams and quillen,,,, he was a top p4p guy and moved up too much to land a hopkins fight,,,

It would be like if canelo bumped up to fight ward,, canelo is still prime but just not at an ideal weight for him......

like i said,, not hopkins greatest win but a solid win vs a very tricky winky who nobody looks good against, and hopkins beat him,,, and even at 160 hopkins would have beaten him up..

I actually really wanted to see hopkins vs winky in late 05 after winky schooled tito,,, but we got hopkins-taylor instead,,,

There was nothing easy about that fight. If it was easy he shouldn't have bounced. Look at his face lol he was bruised all over.
