Personally, I think Danny is a pretty good boxer, good speed and timing. That being said, I do feel he is actually in for a bad night against Matthysse based on some tendencies I've seen in recent fights. He'll be able to catch Lucas as well, sure but I think on the inside is where he is going to suffer.

He is good at countering but he needs to have a little space to be effective and Matthysse is deceptively good on the inside. If Danny can stay off the ropes, he will fare better but if Lucas shows that he can trap Danny early on.....I dunno man, I don't see this fight going long at all.
I called Garcia the polar opposite of Tim Bradley before the fight was signed... Bradley is fast, fleet footed, adapts in the ring, but with no power and usually a poor starter... Garcia is slower, flat footed, has trouble late, but has power and starts off great

But the fight is signed, he's the Celtics, I'm from LA...

Garcia hurt Judah in round, 4 or 6 something around there... He would have about 8-6 respective rounds left to stop Judah if he had what it takes

Matthysse knocked Judah down in round 10... I guess, after clearly preparing to box Judah to a decision (respecting the step up in competition he was making)... It took him 10 to realize Judah was no match for him, so he threw the boxing out the window and beat Judah around the ring from that point on... Bare in mind, that's only about 21/2 rounds...

So Matthysse failed to stop Judah in 21/2 rounds after turning up the heat in a fight that took place 2 years ago, giving him 2 whole years to improve, which evidence shows he has...

Garcia couldn't stop Judah in (I'll just say) 6 rounds after hurting Judah, and even lost 3 of those last 6 rounds... This was his last fight

I don't get how this is that hard

And what was so funny about "Championship rounds"... What was ur point?

And you have a problem catching when "props" are being giving... I'm making an educated guess using facts, nothing about that is giving props...

FACT, its a safe assumption that if Matthysse started earlier, he would have stopped Judah. This is why Matthysse will no doubt be the favorite in a rematch (how often is the loser of a fight the favorite in a rematch?) Nothing about this can be argued (at least not by someone like you)... You're just crying that I brought it up "but, he didn't so why does it matter"...

FACT, I have no reason to believe Garcia beats Judah any better in a rematch than he did in this fight... Chances are Judah will box more defensively in a rematch... Garcia will have to chase him around the ring, and I highly doubt amount of success... A guess, but a guess with merit

It says loads about the Judah loss that you fanboys cling to as if Judah outboxed him in a one-sided easy decision, and it compares marvelously with Garcia's performance against Judah... How he was able to hurt Judah early, but couldn't do a thing with him late... Oppose to Matthysse who couldn't fully dominate him early, but was also not getting dominated early, while being able to DOMINATE HIM LATE... 2 years ago...

You'll understand when ur a parent... You're child will be walking across the street, you'll yell at him about crossing the street saying "You could've gotten hit by a car"

      To which he'll reply "But I didn't"

      What will you say?

Come on fam. Anyone who says this regarding boxing shouldn't even be acknowledged because in a boxing match you never know what will happen and to say that since Matthysse is knocking guys out now means if he started earlier then, he would have knocked Judah out is ridiculous because you don't and will never know that. You sound silly.

Lemme ask you this, who do you think would win between Pryor and Duran?

        Its the same thing

You don't know who would win, but you can use facts, and analysis to come up with an educated guess...

Now, maybe u don't have an answer to that question, but there are plenty knowledgeable boxing fans on this site that do... I assume for consistency's sake you don't acknowledge them?

OK..... Lets play your game. Rios KO'd Alvarado in the first fight but lost the second in a decision. Just because Rios KO'd Alvarado shouldn't that mean he KO's/beat him again in the rematch? NO! because it didn't happen. Again, you sound silly.

How is that stretching it? Why should I give him credit for losing? The fight with Judah was actually closer than his fans think. I watched it. Alexander is another story. I have been giving Matthysse his props but since I'm not totally throwing praise his way then I'm not giving him credit at all. Fact is, Matthysse fans don't give ANY credit to Garcia mostly because they don't like his pops. That's lame.
I haven't once said anything like that first sentence. You're making that up. I've never once called Judah-Matthysse a robbery. So stop talking to me like I am.

Zab had embarrassed himself against Khan and done nothing to earn another title shot. Golden Boy thought Garcia was hot **** and would knock Judah out and look impressive, and that's the only reason they made that fight. They thought he'd outdo Lucas and Khan. Had nothing to do with Judah mattering or being important at 140.

You're stretching because you are ignoring 3 years of fights to focus on one controversial fight and pretend it means more than it does. Matthysse beating the **** out of better fighters since apparently doesn't register to you. If I did the same with Garcia you'd whine about it.

You are so full of **** that the stench is suffocating.

I don't think Matthysse has been "beating the **** out of better fighters".

The only fighter's he's beaten the **** out of are Soto, Ajose, Dallas jr and Peterson and Soto and Ajose are aren't impressive wins and there's no point even mentioning Dallas.

He beat Alexander comfortably but he didn't beat the **** out of him.

Thought he beat Judah aswell but it was a close fight IMO that could have gone either way.

Matthysee's best and most impressive win is Peterson and Garcia's win over Khan is at the very least on that level.

Matthysse might edge it but their resumes are close.

My point is that Grustler is focusing on the Judah fight and ignoring everything Matthysse has done since, pretending that Judah was some fight Garcia had to take because of the Matthysse fight, and also pretending that Zab Judah is somehow the standard by which both fighters should be judged, regardless of what else has happened in the 3 years separating their fights against the man.

Oh yeah well that's fair enough.

To be honest though I don't even consider Peterson to Alexander to be much better than Judah. Infact I'd even say they are all around the same level, even this version of Judah or the one Matthysse fought.

Garcia performed better against Judah than Matthysse IMO. Doesn't mean anything though.

I think Matthysse would stop Judah in a rematch though. They should try and make that rematch I think.

First of all, that little example you used proves my point...

Alvarado was outboxing Rios, got caught up in a war, got stopped
Rematch, Alvarado outboxed Rios, refuses to get caught up in a war, wins

                    Just like how...

Matthysse boxed with Judah for the first 9 rounds before jumping on and beating him up for the last 3, and loses a close decision...
Rematch, Matthysse jumps on him from round 1, beats him around the ring for 6 rounds, stopping him by the 8th...

                    Perfectly logical analysis

That's called making an adjustment... You sound...

Neither has beat anybody real impressive. But both look impressive. Rising stars. On the crossroads!
