Golovkin must have good boy'd the hell out of Bute.

When was the last time Golovkin weighed 154? Do you know?

Got to be close to a decade. Maybe even longer?

Looking at the poll I cannot take this serious.

You're the one who said GGG can easily make 154 which is completely baseless and clearly not the case.

Ward get's credit for beating GGG at 168. Especially if he does it after GGG moves to 168 which he will inevitabley do and beat some contenders there.
I see. So Ward will stay at 168 and wait for GGG to move there and beat some contenders there 1st?? To get credit for the win? How long will that take exactly??

So GGG can or cannot make 154 easily shoot me. Doesn't take away from the original point. Fighting middleweights moving up, (or waiting for them to beat a couple contenders at 168 1st) as per your argument, is still not greater than laying siege to 175, period.

          Didn't say it was.

GGG can move from 160 to 168 and fight Ward right away and Ward would still deserve credit.

That said, I'd rather him move to 175 and fight Kovalev, like I stated in my post.

            He should be fine.

The only reason he's staying at 68 is to hold out for the Chavez payday. Once he gets the Chavez fight he will move up.

Ok then. "Beat a couple contenders", or "easily make 154". Nit pick or agree. Bottom line, 175 possess the greatest move accomplishment wise, like I stated in almost all of my posts.

And I didn't disagree with those statements.

Only thing I disagreed with was you saying Golovkin can easily make 154 which is why that was the only thing I responded to.

Fair enough. I too disagree with Ward waiting for GGG to beat a couple contenders at 168 then Ward. Ward should attack 175 yesterday.

I think he will do great. He has all the attributes he needs to be successful.

152 lbs in '01 by the look of things. he was just barely in the open division at that point, winning the junior world's the year before. from '03 on he was @ 165, when he won the world championships in the open class.

                      he's quite a robust guy.
