Manny wants the fight on his terms. Floyd wants the fight on his terms. Both could give some ground
But Grustler isn't totally off base.

One is the bigger earner that has a payment package and deal that provides him a larger percentage of the money.
See, not that hard to admit is it? They are both to blame. As well as Arum. Buboy can probably see that

Respectfully, you didn't answer the quesion.

What has been the biggest fight of your generation?

It just seems odd to read you criticizing him for "robbing" you of something he also gave you.

I doubt you'd say wlad and vitali robbed us of the biggest HWT fight of our generation.

AGreed. I just agree strongly with Grustler that the "deal fairness" excuse is tired.

And it was obviously Oscar who made that event as big as it was. Nobody even turned up to watch Floyd until after the De La Hoya fight. He couldn't draw flies to ****.

You think that somehow gives him a pass for being a complete ***** and ducking the biggest fight of his career?.

Question of curiosity, how old was De La Hoya for that fight? Older than Mayweather is now?

I find it sad that we have supposed boxing fans concerning themselves with their favourite fighters earnings and trying to defend why one should get more than the other. Fook that! I just want to see the best fight, Floyd knew it would have to be fair but wanted to and was prepared to let the fight go over it.

The testing issue around this fight was possibly the biggest white elephant in the history of the sport. It was absolute bollocks. Anyone who genuinely believes that floyd was worried about whether pac was on something or not should probably get someone to beat them round the head with a tree trunk.

The fight is not happening because Bob Arum doesn't like Al Haymon and is still holding a grudge against Golden Boy Promotions for implying that Manny Pacquiao is a steroid cheat.

It doesn't matter how old he was, he was shot and had fought once in 3 years.

SO it was ODH who made the event? ok. Funny, but prior to that ODH largest fight was 1.4 mil ppv with Felix. After that, ODH did 1.25 mil with Manny. floyd ODH did 2.44 mil. Maybe it wasn't just ODH.

Maybe floyd took advantage of the opportunity and the new 24/7 platform and did what was necessary to sell the fight.

You are entitled to view it any way you wish, but there is the small matter of Manny turning down the fight in 09. There were points afterwards where both could've made the fight happen. Sadly they didn't.

Respectfully, floyd gave you the biggest fight of your generation. He has a chance with Canelo to give you the top 2 biggest, although it will take alot to sell more than 2 mil ppv's.

The evidence is clear floyd has no problem making the biggest fights. I don't expect to change your mind, I just hope you are willing to open your mind to facts that contradict your opinion.

So what is worse, no PPV for Manny or a 50/50 deal?
