So Who has a better resume At Middleweight?Originally posted by harwri008How did Garcia make this list? The list should really only include Mayweather and Pacquiao. However, since they both pretty much fight the same people then it's virtually a wash. Now, as far as who's fought the most bums, the winner is clearly Martinez.

Oh wow....I was just talking Haye-Klitschko in general. And I don't doubt that Haye faked an injury and pulled out of the Vitali fight, for other reasons than injury. But it had nothing to do with Valuev being the easier option, but because Hatton & Khan had just fought two stinnkers on PPV and both their numbers ****** and it didn't look good for Haye at that point with regards to the PPV numbers.

The Klitschkos often have to face lesser opponents because the so called best guys like Haye and Povetkin won't fight them. Whereas Haye ducked the Klitschkos for about 3/4 years before Sky finally forced him into the fightComment

“Haye and his manager, whose home base is in the Turkish part of Cyprus for fiscal reasons, seem to have realized all of a sudden, that we have a global economic depression and English boxing fans are not that easily willing to pay 15 pounds for a bout. All the excuses of adhesion contracts are complete rubbish as Haye had already signed the same contract for the fight against Wladimir in June, which also contained a usual rematch clause and a pure Klitschko option. And for that fight he also pulled out. By the way, Vitali and myself attended Haye’s last fight against Monte Barrett at the O2 Arena in London. There were possibly 6.000 fans in a 20.000 seat arena. The guy is not a big draw in England at all. We were always surprised that he expected to get 2.7 million pounds out of the English pay-per-view sales for a fight against Vitali or Wladimir.” - Bernd Boente, July 2011.Comment

Yes, and just below Haye and Povetkin in the ranks, you will find Mormeck, Wach, Pianeta, Rahman, Thompson, Charr, Briggs etc

Why are you making my point for me? Haye didn't want to get his arse kicked for that money so he cherry picked a giant bum he knew he could easily beat and keep the hype train going. Who is then? Who have the Klitschkos been avoiding?Comment

Right.. How do you as a challenger cherrypick a champion with a 70% KO ratio and one defeat? The idiocy in that post is unreal. Haye was offered a fight for a larger purse, easier opposition and no options. On top of that, he also fought for getting either Wlad/Vitali in the ring on equal terms and no options.
Who have they avoided? I already answered this question in this thread mate, Wlad hasn't avoided anyone. But he still chose to fight Mormeck, he chose to fight Wach, he chose to fight Pianeta, he chose to fight Rahman. Vitali chose to fight Briggs, he chose to fight Charr. See a pattern?
Haye and Povetkin can't be at fault for Wlad/Vitali making all these fights can they? Otherwise they surely do hold a tight grip on the division, controlling everyone with their strings.
I'm sure you will figure out a way to tie in Haye to that as well.Comment

LOL....because Sauerland wanted to make the Haye-Klitschko fight. Haye was the house fighter even in Germany, no other British fighter would have gotten that decision fighting so negatively. Haye cherry picked the weakest champion because he knew he couldn't get the job done against the Klitschkos and his hype/money chase would have been over straight away.Right.. Plenty of those fights were mandatories and if you can name fighters that they could have fought instead, Id love to hear them.Comment
