No. Haye agreed to the fight in December 2011, but Vitali chose to fight Chisora, hence the whole post presser thing came about. He also agreed to fight Vitali in Moscow, but Vitali wanted him to drop out of the Chisora fight.
Charr wasn't the mandatory? Pretty sure he was. When Vitali fought Johnson, Chagaev had already been battered by Wlad. So Chagaev would absolutely have not been a better fight, it would have literally been "leftovers" as you described it.

Yeah because it wasn't viable to fight in July and then fight Vitali in September. Team Hayemaker knew that.

Charr was not the mandatory. It was a voluntary defense which just makes it all the more bad. My point was not whether or not Vitali should fight Chagaev, it was just that Charr, Briggs, Sosnowski, Solis were nowhere near the best he could find.

How did Garcia make this list? The list should really only include Mayweather and Pacquiao. However, since they both pretty much fight the same people then it's virtually a wash. Now, as far as who's fought the most bums, the winner is clearly Martinez.

Wlad's fought some stiffs over the years, but he's generally fought the best guys available to him. Vitali's record in comparison looks pitiful, and yet there's still a number of people who think he's better than Wlad.

Like I said, it's slim pickings at Heavweight. I don't think there's anyone you can say Vitali has actively avoided. Your one answer is Haye and it's debatable who's doing the avoiding in that situation. Haye was certainly the one who avoided it for years.

I won't get into Setanta going bust and Haye having to fight for free, Vitali low balling and playing around. Getting contracts and not holding your end up and faking injuries. I couldn't care less.

But what I do know is that Vitali cherrypicks crap opponents everytime he fights.

Haha the Vitali fight was supposed to be on Sky Sports and HBO. Haye pulled out at the last minute yet again to fight Valuev. Now that was a cherry pick. Lucky Haye isn't in the poll because he'd win hands down.

The fact that Pacquiao isn't even an option let's me know all I need to know about this thread ahahahahaha. Helluva fighter, but come on. Erik Morales coming off a loss and drained. Shot De La Hoya at 147. Cotto at 145 after he just got beat up by Wraps and Clottey. Shot Margarito at 150 after Shane killed em. Shot Shane at age 40 that hadn't won a fight in 3 years. Marquez at age 39 & 40. Rios coming off a loss to Alvarado. It's baffling how people just ignore that because they like him.
