now you are about to show your ignorance.
I thought witherspoon won that fight and ali was a fighting zombie at the point holmes beat him. I still rank holmes ahead of wlad as he was never stopped 3 times and has better wins but I think theyre closer than many think

you're the first person that I've ever talked to who thought witherspoon won that fight.........witherspoon put up a gritty tough effort but lost.

& no. wlad and holmes aren't closer then "people may think" wlad and holmes are worlds apart as far as resume goes & I'm willing to sit down and pick anyones argument apart who thinks other wise. just not the truth............

these people haven't watched holmes title defenses and have no clue about his opponents. prime Witherspoon was a beast..........wlads resume and opponents are puny & laughable compared with holmes.

Wach was one of the worst heavyweights that I've ever seen in my entire life.
No doubt that Holmes ranks higher than Wlad ón an alltime list, but some of Holmes's opponents was utter garbage like Ledoux, Frazier etc. I'm sure Wach against either of those would be a tossup.

you don't even know anything about Ledoux. Ledoux was a guy who was hot and cold. it just depended on which one who showed up. sometimes he was very good sometimes he was very bad....Scott Ledoux has a razor close fight with leon spinks & ken norton which resulted in draws...........what has wach ever done? even Holmes poorest is much better then wach. Marvis Frazier moved his head, had some technique to his punches, had a style...........his only 2 losses were to holmes and tyson. although not the best of fighter but far better then wach. wach is slow, clumsy, & no technique to his punches whats so ever...........not even kidding when I say that wach is one of the worst heavyweights that I've ever seen.

Norton was well past it, barely trained and was injured in the fight.

Marvis Frazier was awful. The fight wasn't even sanctioned and Frazier only Got the fight because of his dad. He even wore daddy's trunks from the Ali I fight.

Now you could say that Wach should have been a non title fight and I wouldn't disagree, but don't claim that Wlad has a monopoly in fighting appauling challengers. Both Ali and Louis had their share too.

                    aaaah ok.

norton was past it vs LeDoux but thats not the point.........the point is LeDoux has better fighters & wins on his resume compared to wach which makes him a better fighter (then wach.

and norton after his razor draw to ledoux went on to outbox Cobb (who was as tough as nails) and you're right. wlad is fighting the wachs of the world after 59 fights. & this is not a "building your record kinda fight" or toss off fight like LeDoux & fraizer was for holmes. these are serious championship matches. WACH. that in and of it's self speaks volumes........marvis frazier was trash, we know that. but you're acting like i said that marvis Frazier was this great contender. thats not what i said, i said that marvis frazier is better then wach. he threw his punches with more technique, had better balance, and a overall better fighter.......it's the truth. since when did i claim that wlad has a monopoly on fighting crap opponents? wlad has fought far greater crap opponents vs those 3 that you just named (louis ali holmes) and he's fighting guys like "wach" with over 50 fights under his belt & wach as a serious contender at that. how can you compare that to someone like holmes haha

anyone who thinks that wlad is even close to Holmes needs a mental checking.

i don't know any boxing experts who thought witherspoon won that fight........most people will tell you that witherspoon put up a gritty tough effort but didn't win it. i would love to see your score card. the commentators and judges gave him a little more credit then what he deserved in some of those rounds. thats about it.........

witherspoon was a beast in his prime though.........my point with that comment was that he was far greater then anything wlad has ever fought before.

carl williams got outboxed by holmes. never heard that it was close before......but we will agree to disagree.
