      Ask the WBA.

Genuinely feel Maidana is a strong contender for Boxingscenes most overhyped fighter.

          The guy is painfully limited.

Its hilarious how much praise he gets for finally discovering WTF a jab is

Given his life and death struggles with old Morales, Karass, Lopez, 90yr old Corley, etc its clear as day hes just an average fringe contender at best.

Don't care if he now has a jab, the fact hes been hurt to the point he was nearly stopped by Karass & Lopez tells me hes not improved much if anything at all though to his credit he did come back and stop both and then again I felt the Karass stoppage was premature & Lopez fought absolutely ******ly.

Maidana was WBA Light Welterweight Champion? Is this another one of your hypotheticals? When did he beat Khan or Garcia exactly?

with a guy like him a jab does a lot. He has sledgehammers for fists. A jab allows him to find openings and set up his shots. It also helps him gauge distance between him and his opponent and be more accurate with his power shots.

like I said, A guy like Maidana? that's enough.

Keep living in the past, but Maidana has a bright future at WW

Maidana was the WBA champ at 140, he gave up the title because he couldnt make 140 anymore.

The WBA title has gone from Kotelnik to Khan (both beat Maidana) to Garcia.

Khan dropped his wba strap for the ibf, I believe. Garcia wasn't in the picture just yet.

It was a brief reign, he didn't even fight one defense, but he had a world lww title. lol
