Arguello was arguably greater than Hearns and Hagler.

I wonder how floyd's brittle hands would have held up in an era when you fought like once a month
Good point about the hands-especially given 15 rd fights and todays advanced equipment

hagler was just a bulldozer,, but he was limited in what he could do in the ring,,,, arguello was a much better technical fighter..

Hearns is top 5 i have ever seen,,, a great amongst ATGs

Hearns did beat Duran and Benitez, Hill. Couldn't even beat Barkley in 2 tries. Fat Duran was able to beat Barkley.

Arguello has Chacon, Castillo, Olivares, Ramirez, Legra, Limon

Didn't you just talk down to me the other day about how you know so much more about the sport than I do because you're 45 and lived through that era, and I'm just a titty sucking mama's boy? Yet here I find you again, regurgitating idiotic talking points (that Hagler was a brawler ) from HBO's incredibly biased 'Legendary Nights' mini-series.

You're proof positive that wisdom doesn't always come with age. I seriously don't know how anybody who boasts of having lived through the era of the Fab Four could sit there and spew forth such idiotic nonsense.

If Floyd was in aduran's era then he never fights Leonard, Hearns, or Haglerbecause he would've been at a lower weight class. Floyd didn't make it to WWuntil he was 28.

                  1. Sorry for talking down to you,, i dont try and be a prick,, sometimes i can be cranky, so sorry

                  2. I didnt say hagler was just a brawler,, he could do alot in the ring but compared to guys like floyd, argeullo he was limited,, Hagler could switch to between lefty and righty beautifully,, but he was a great boxer,, just not the most technically sound..

Hearns only ***** in the armour was his chin,, but i never saw anyone outbox the man....
I never actually saw arguello outboxed either,, but he didnt face the same number of great boxers like hearns,, outboxing SRL twice and hill twice is better than anything arguello did.... and yes i know srl beat hearns but he wasnt outboxing him.. just a late rally,, in a 12 round fight hearns won easily

Pardon me for paraphrasing, but you literally just called him a "limited bulldozer". Now you're saying he was a great boxer.

                    Does not compute.

Arguello didn't need to outbox anyone because he was a wrecking machine in a number of weight classes. Beating Prime Ruben Castillo is far and away better than beating Hill. As is Olivares.

For claiming apparently to be such an old-timer you shouldn't be using "If it was a 12 round fight" as an argument. Hearns got knocked out, end of.
