maybe i shouldnt have phrased it as just a bulldozer, i was trying to convey that hagler walked thru guys left and right,,, that was his bread and butter,, he would break guys down and out, i didnt mean it like he was some margarito just come forward with no defense type fighter, but when comparing hagler to true technical fighters like arguello, floyd, jmm he is a step down from them,, he had skills, much like cotto has skills,,, and much like cotto, hagler could outbox alot of guys but would fall short against true elites... And dont start screaming that im comparing hagler to cotto, im not just using that as a modern example..

For claiming apparently to be such an old-timer you shouldn't be using "If it was a 12 round fight" as an argument. Hearns got knocked out, end of.

Ok yes beating castillo was better than beating hill,, and for the bold, i was just trying to say that hearns was clearly outboxing SRL,, SRL outfought him, but he never outboxed him in any round for the 2 fights they fought,,, thats how good hearns was at boxing,,,,

I never doubted Hearns being good at boxing. He was a good boxer no doubt. But saying if it was 12 rounds is literally one of the dumbest arguments because there was no comprehenion of a 12 round fight back then

True,, I was just trying to make the point that if they fought in today's era or back then under today's era, how much history would be different if hearns got the W over SRL

Well you can do that to too many fights and it makes a poster just looked biased.

Trust me, im not biased,,, I get accused of being a floyd fanboy or a floyd hater all the time,,, it just depends on the thread and topic being discussed....

When people call calzaghe a bum, i defend him

when people call him the best fighter of the last 20 years,, i laugh....

Same thing with this thread,,,,, I just call it how i see it,, I am a fan of the sport, not a fan of just certain boxers..

            • I thought Floyd's fans were the one's that were crying, lmao. Everyone is chiming in trying to compound Duran's opinion. EVERYONE, and I mean Everyone. Moderators, alts, fanatics. The ducking wife beater sure generates a lot of interest from any and EVERYONE, lmao.

Then as a fan of the sport you'd respect that the fight was 15 rounds and not 12. Both fighters were aware of that.

I could just have easily said that well if both knew the fight was 12 rounds then Ray could've went for the Knockout earlier.
