Everyone on that list was rated in the top 10 at the same time as Vits. I never expected him to fight all of them, but many of them would have been better fights than most of who he did fight.

Yes, lets please start with Frazier. In 37 fights he fought 14 top 10 contenders rated by The Ring. In 47 fights Vits has only fought 8. That means in 10 less fight Frazier fought nearly twice as many contenders.

Yes its easy to just pick and choose fights, huh? I pick the first and third Ali-Frazier fights with Norton-Holmes as a kicker. And don't kid yourself, the skillset as a whole on todays contenders stink. Hell, they don't even work the body anymore!

Clearly the hotheaded and oftbanned historysection mod writes that he thinks that 20 fighters is the cut off for the HW division and that Vitali just misses the cut right? Surely there can be no other way of interpretation. He writes ‘I think’ several times so it is his opinion and not the opinion of someone else.

But so it isn’t.

He did so because he states that the 20 boxer limit isn’t his opinion but someone elses.

So apparently we still do not know where he ranks Vitali and we don’t know who makes the cut on his list.

I would have to give the edge to Vitali. Floyd Patterson avoided Sonny Liston for a long time, before he and Cus Damato ran out of excuses and got KTFO twice. For the most part of Floyd's reign, a lot of people were speculating on his suspect chin and him avoiding Sonny, so he didn't fight the likes of Folley and Williams.

Not that Vitali ever fought the best either, but he racked up more defensed and never ducked anybody. He just left the best for his brother.

Just for reference, JediHater has Patterson in the top 15 and Vitali is between 50 and 100 which is laughable.

Yeah, that's a bit of an extreme ranking even going by resumes alone (which I don't do). I have Vitali and Wlad somewhere between 20-25 with Vitali higher than Wlad.

On the other hand I'm pretty sure Jedi ranks him there solely to piss off the Klitlickers. As a general rule, pissing off nuthuggers is never a bad thing :grin9:
