Everyone on that list was rated in the top 10 at the same time as Vits. I never expected him to fight all of them, but many of them would have been better fights than most of who he did fight.

Yes, lets please start with Frazier. In 37 fights he fought 14 top 10 contenders rated by The Ring. In 47 fights Vits has only fought 8. That means in 10 less fight Frazier fought nearly twice as many contenders.

Yes its easy to just pick and choose fights, huh? I pick the first and third Ali-Frazier fights with Norton-Holmes as a kicker. And don't kid yourself, the skillset as a whole on todays contenders stink. Hell, they don't even work the body anymore!

Exactly. And todays contenders would instead be journeymen and stiffs. Glad we could find some common ground!
you tried to list chambers and dimentreko lol.that alone invalidates most of that post. you said vit wasnt a champ despite the fact he has been wbc champ since 04 lol.all you are doing is making broad general statements

how many times are you counting ali,and foreman lol

the skillset of contenders back then stunk also.the hw division was never a skill division.you usually have at most 3 high skill guys, everybody else is either a brawler,or whatever category they fall in

journeymen and stiffs are still contenders

Chambers and Dimetrenko were both rated same time as Vittles. And there can only be one world champion, paper titles mean nothing.

How many times should I count Ali and foreman? Does it not count that not only were that rated contenders but ATG's?

Your knowledge of boxing and its history is terrible if you think the skills of the 70's weren't much better than today's huffers and puffers.

and the problem with facing atgs more than once rather than some unranked bum is....?

there were far more boxers around back then, so there were more with skillsets.

journeymen and stiffs are still contenders
stiffs really should be getting in a ring for even a euro title.

You have Patterson rated in your top 15 and Vitali between 50 and 100. LMAO.

and it at no time was that a viable fight for wlad lol.i can only imagine the uproar if vit fought a guy who is bro brutally ko'd
the wbc belt is a paper title now lol.especially being that it was won from the guy who ko'd his bro lol

u said frazier fought 14 top contenders to vits 8,so lets have a closer look at those numbers if you dont mind sir lol.please list these 14 top contenders

my knowledge is great as is easily seen.difference is i love boxing as a whole.people like you are bizarre.you try and romanticize a time period you werent alive for because your scared to have a different opinion.the 70's wasnt the best era because of great fighters,it was because all of those guys were vulnerable and put on thrilling fights.you had 2 special fighters in ali,and foreman, and a bunch of solid contenders.difference nowadays is the solid contenders dont stand much a chance against the 2 great fighters.

none.but they still count as 1 fighter lol.manny fought morales x3,barrera x2,and marquez x4,so by that logic he fought 9 top contenders lol

doesnt matter if there were more boxers back then.majority of them ******,just like majority suck now
