This is the thread I referenced in my thread. I respect Vitali, but that resume is not ATG worthy, no one calls Cotto an ATG, but he closely, but clearly won the poll on who was greater between him and Vitali. I'm not a Klitschko hater by any means and my thread was made more to show that Cotto is underrated than to diss Vitali.

Vits fans don't want to hear this. Its not enough you think he's a good guy and rank him highly h2h all time, you have to bow down, kiss his ass and call him ATG or you're a hater.

By the way, I voted for Cotto in your thread because his resume' is much better as well as being a better all around in skills....in my opinion. Also one of my favs to watch, he's always exciting and fun.

Another poster said the same thing in my thread, H2H Vitali ranks very high, but greatness is based on resume and skills, which so far, slim majority thinks Cotto ranks higher than Vitali.

Of course what would a Klitschko thread be without complaining about the Lennox Lewis fight. I'm convinced some see Vitali Klitschko in a thread title, see red, then wake up having posted a half page whining about that fight.

He would have fought EVERYBODY just like he did in his day and in no way would he rank either 1 or 2 as he does now.

And that's exactly what the Klitschkos have done. Even more they have absolutely destroyed the majority of opponents and both maintain amazing KO percentages.

So by your own admission Ali couldn't have done any more in this era than the Klitschkos, because the high quality opponents just weren't available. Argument over.

that cut was caused by a punch. somebody's f#cking dreadlocks don't open a historic level of damage to the eye of a massive man. i'm not saying that was the worst eye i've ever seen in a boxing match, but it was one of them. the initial cut was about as bad as you're gonna see from a single punch, and lennox kept working on it. by the end there were actually several cuts, in addition to the major one on the brow. he had a cut on the eyelid below the major cut. he had several cuts below the eyes. and i've even heard reports that the muscle was exposed in the significant cut over the eye.
