If you rehydrate 10 lbs above your weigh in weight then you are not small for that particular weight. The terms "small" and "solid" are not the same.
Again, until Rigondeaux were drop down to 116 from being at 122 for the last 7 years to fight a guy at 116 (his 5th weight class) who usually fights at 109 I would very much doubt anyone would expect the smaller man to have that fight or even want the fight at all actually.
I would most likely rather he move up 1 weight class, 8 lbs heavier than he's been at the last 7 years and fight the p4p #2 than the first option. That also seems a lot more logical than a career MW fighting a guy who's never weighed in more than 151 lbs and in his 5th weight class there. But that's just me.
That hypothetical Rigondeax example actually puts in perspective how ridiculous the idea of this fight is in more than anything in all honesty.
