victor ortiz had 14 lbs on floyd mayweather in the ring for a WELTERWEIGHT fight. ortiz was 164 and mayweather weighed 150 lbs.

what's not to get? a guy topped the hell out at 150 lbs against a guy who has been a middleweight for going on ten years? you need to see that?

mayweather is about to fight a much larger man. alvarez is closer to golovkin's size than mayweather's. the rub is that he might set the PPV record against alvarez, with a F#ckload of mexicans spending $75 on ppv. golovkin doesn't bring any of that. you're jumping one weight class for a massive fight. why jump two for half of that?
Wouldn't you think it would take less than 30 pages to come to this conclusion?

One fighter started his career at 130 lbs. Moved up 5 weight classes to 154 lbs but the highest he's ever weighed is 151 lbs. Campaigns at 147 lbs for the vast majority of the time. And has had all of one fight in the last 6 years at 154 lbs and again, in which he weighed in at 151 lbs.

The other fighter has been a pro since 2006 and has been at 160 lbs that entire time. Has never weighed less than 159 lbs in his entire 7 year career and has even weighed over the 160 limit on multiple occasions.

How can this be put any simpler? Can it be?

    It's baffling to me.

So what you're saying is, Floyd is a pitiful excuse of a SWW champ. Ok then, I've found a lot of Floyd fans coming around to this POV in the past couple of months

He is certainly not a great one, that is for sure.

Mainly because he really is far from a Jr MW. Which if obvious considering anyone who has 2 fights there in 7 years both money fights against not natural Jr MW's weighing at highest 151 lbs. You wouldn't expect him to be considered one. Then again, you wouldn't think it would be expected for guy who started his career at 130 who's grown into an average sized WW/Small Jr MW to fight a 7 year career MW either.

I wonder if that will take to page 60 to be grasped

Have you found that, or is your mind already made up and you'd like to try and group every reply that doesn't agree with you into that category?

I really have. Before the CW fiasco there was a lot of crowing about Floyd being #1 at SWW, 2x champ, then suddenly he was proclaimed too small by his biggest fans. Comparisons to RJJ's HW title and such.
