Really? You're jumping on the exceedingly puerile "you a hater" bandwagon, too?

I'm not familiar with your posting history, but you struck me as an unbiased and thoughtful poster from what I've read from you in this thread. Now I see you painting anybody skeptical of the numbers (y'know, since they were never released) with the broad brush of "hater" and immediately realize you're just another infantile boxing fan who cannot comprehend skepticism or cynicism without immediately jumping to the conclusion that the person in question must have an ulterior motive.

I don't hate Mayweather in the least, and I'm skeptical of the numbers, so my very existence obliterates your piss-poor excuse for a theory.

Remember when HBO's budget was all messed up for the year for committing like 3m to Bradley and Alexander's next fight after that fiasco? But in any business losing 40% of you annual budget in one day is tragic.
Hence why this "MEGA" card was thrown together so fast to recoup those losses.

Haters will lie to you because that is what they do, lie.
See, unless their budget is already squeezed, a marquee fight like Garcia Matthysse is usually better off solo. Cause it's well known an undercard just doesn't add that many buys, and this one might be very expensive, like 5x Mares vs PDL.

But it will bring exposure to the winner as future Floyd opponent, which makes sense. And it's great for us fans, no complaining.

That's not true. Matthysse isn't a draw. Garcia is not a draw either by ppf standards. They did the numbers and found out that they can make a lot more money on this card. Until someone posts the numbers, you're just lying or hating in my book.

It is a big fight, but the casual fans don't know either guy. If they did fight on ppv, the fight would probably be in NY, and imo would not sell 1 mil ppv buys. I know they crunched the numbers to see if they could fly on their own. They couldn't.

floyd's on his way to retirement no matter what ,its like starting a new sports chanell to rival espn and you buy all the lakers games from here on out kobe and the lakers bring rating that's what showtime wants out of floyd ratings and more subscribers.

whatever deal he got is simply for bringing all of gb and floyd over look at how they threw mma to the side it's all about long term for a company like showtime.

sure every floyd ppv doing something like 500,000 k is defiintely something they don't want but there main concern is rating and subscribers. will floyd bring that? i don't know, but showtime is getting a lot of good coverage since floyd and gb came over.

My point with was most people who are waving that it bombed flag are the people who hate Floyd was my point. Either number is the range that I had it in.

Good post. You can hate on Floyd and get respect from posters, but you'll never get respect from me when it's constant. Every time you say to me, "you can't even say something about Floyd without being called a hater" means you are a hater. You deserve no respect. Foh.

To be honest, anything over 700 k is a profit.
