Has The May-Ghost PPV Buys Been Released Yet?

I've been busy, so I have'nt been online for some time,
and curious if the official ppv buys from Floyd-Robert has been released yet.
It's been 2 & a half months since the fight!

I googled it and have different sites saying different things,
so are the official ones released or what???

To my knowledge, no official numbers were ever released. Fat Dan said it was less than a million buys, but others have said it exceeded the one million buy mark. Either way, it quite obviously fell short of expectations and cost Showtime a fair sum of money. Hence why Mayweather has taken this Alvarez fight and why Matthysse/Garcia has been added to the undercard : It's a guaranteed buy.

That's literally the most informed you can be at this point. War Matthysse! :-D

I doubt they will release the official numbers but that in itself tells you it was a colossal failure. If it did anything over 750k, they would be boasting about it.

No numbers were released, but I find it similar to the Pacquiao-Bradley situation where numbers were not officially released.

Perfectly said, I don't think any of us expected the Mayweather-Canelo fight to happen this soon, had the numbers did what was expected, Canelo would be fighting Cotto right now, and we'd probably be crying about Mayweather-Alexander.

The big difference is, Pac Bradley cost the network nothing, the entire burden was Arum's. Here the network apparently had a break even point of 1.1m+ due to the huge Floyd guarantee.

The network said it did over 1 mil if you want to believe fat Dan who has a well known dislike for Mayweather more fool you.

The network said they were confident they would come in over 1m. The numbers will be in by Friday.
