I think Scott was trying to use the full count to see out the round, he had a guy behind him talking to him when he was down.

The ref didn't have to finish counting to 10 because he felt Tyson couldn't continue so he waved it off. Which is acceptable.

In today's fight Malik seemed perfectly able to continue but the ref didn't count to 10 and just stopped it. Which is not acceptable.
