Oscar lost 9 rounds. He's given advice to everyone Mayweather's fought lately, and they all get their ass kicked.

The 9 rounds is highllllllyyyyy debatable cuz...highly debatable. I will say he lost the fight but it was a hell of a lot closer than 9 rounds to 3 IMO but that's just me giving my two cents. One thing we cannot deny is Oscar was 35, bloated, and had shhh stamina in that fight but he did impossible his will on Floyd more than any fighter in recent memory.

Well, that would work if Canelo had the insane stamina, power, speed and countering ability that Duran had, along with his defense. Unfortunately, Canelo isn't very fast on his feet, and his stamina is atrocious.

He is probably better served trying to wait and counter, then use that to get inside briefly before doing it over again and really hoping he can hurt him too.

Cotto gave Mayweather a much harder fight. He's probably the only fighter since Mayweather came back that Oscar didn't advise as well.

Without a doubt in my mind, Duran would be Floyd's hardest fight by a mile. Think everything that Castillo did, now make that fighter faster in both feet and hands, punch harder, counter better, get hit much less, and have better stamina.

If you have no doubt as to who would win, you don't know what's going on.

We know for a fact that Duran has handled someone on the level of Floyd, and that fighter happened to be younger, bigger, faster, more prime....Duran still won.

We have never seen Floyd in with anyone close to the level of that Duran. It's impossible to know how it would go for him. He has everything that would give Floyd trouble. One punch KO power, freakish, non stop 15 round stamina, speed, great boxing and brawling, incredible defense and counters.

Very different game than anything we've seen. Thinking you know, without a doubt, is absurd.

Canelo needs a small ring, HE MUST shut down jrs exits after the pot shot, he must as Duran says kill the body, the kidneys to slow down his man and about the 4th round he won't be able to WALK !!

All the faded warriors JR fought only had about 2 rounds in them and after, they had nothing but Canelo is young and he better be ready, not for a AZZ whuppin cause JR can't do that, no body is marked after his fights, maybe worn Cotto a bit, jr don't swell up no bodys face, so Canleo only needs to be in Shape to pound the body for 12 rounds , 12 ,3 min rounds. IF he pounds the body from round 1 the head will die not long after.

Alvarez isn't fast enough by hand or foot to maul Floyd
his size advantage will actually be his downfall in this fight
theoretically, Duran is right with this advice
but Alvarez doesn't have the speed or stamina to implement it
he can't flow fast enough or work at a rapid enough pace for it
Alvarez will struggle to even touch Floyd at all in this

LOL which is more reason Duran is 100% correct. If you aren't as fast, or as quick of hands, you pressure and cut the ring off. It's boxing 101. Floyd can't run forever and it's a ring, there's ropes and a limit to where he can go.

Also, it's not like Canelo is slow, the man is pretty fast and can move very well. I think some of you really underestimate what Canelo can do athletically.
