God dam Mares is just the kind of fighter that everyone should look up to weather your a fan or fighter. He is one of the few true fighters left that is not afraid to actually actively challenge himself without having to resort to his promoter to look for the easier way out like many of todays fighters. Any one who hates on him should really ask themselves if they are a true fan of the sport cause he is one of the few remaining things that's actually good left in boxing.

It should be Crawford vs Gamboa....

That kind of risk is no where near worth it right now, let Crawford get a belt and notch a few more good wins to his name first. Him fighting Mares is a much better career move if this fight were made. Much more money, less risk and more people tuning in to see it.

At 130, that might finally be one weight class too big for Mares. I think Gamboa could beat him at 130, but Mares really shouldn't take that fight. Stay at FW and prepare for the inevitable Santa Cruz fight.
