Comments Thread For: Yuriorkis Gamboa Ready To Face Abner Mares in Cancun

Promoter Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing is attempting to put together a fight between Yuriorkis "Cyclone of Guantanamo" Gamboa (23-0, 16 KOs) and WBC featherweight champion Abner Mares (26-0, 14KOs). Mares said he was willing to face Gamboa on the condition that their fight takes place in Cancun, Mexico. Gamboa has very little interest in facing Terence Crawford and wants an established name with meaning, like Mares - who defends his title against Jhonny Gonzalez on August 24th.

                Smart

Crawford would put his career to bed and relevance.
