Gamboa is blown up as it is and has no business at 135. Mares looked big and a lot stronger than I expected at 126 though a move to 130 is probably a bit too soon.

Can't fault Mares' willingness for sure.

I think it's a good fight for Gamboa. If Gamboa beats Crawford he accomplish very little so I don't blame in for not taking it. Gamboa next fight should be against a top elite.

Mares biting more than he can chew here. If it happens Mares is officially the guy with the biggest balls in boxing period, Gamboa needs to get smart here get a real trainer Mares is always the toughest fight for anybody hes faced.

That would be an interesting fight. Gamboa's speed will trouble Mares but Mares has good timing with his shots and throws them from weird angles, Gamboa has been dropped by lesser fighters than Mares. 50/50 fight.

As good of a scrap as this would be, I think it's unfair that Mares has to keep moving up.

Yeah he just had one fight at 126, although he did look very good at the weight.

Too soon for Mares to be moving up again but this fight is intriguing. There aren't many fighters I respect more than Mares. He's always down to scrap. Lets see if it really happens.
