Gamboa got hit by PDL more than he should have, he also got dropped and won a close fight against a lower tier guy in his last fight.

Gamboa looked solid at 135, but he's a fuckin midget so him wanting to fight a FW shouldn't be a surprise. Yes, he would out-weigh Mares, which is why I don't think he should take the fight right now.

To all the Mexicans. I always hear how Mexicans love great offensive fighters and hate fighters that counter puncher and move around. I even heard that some Mexicans rooted for Pacquiao when he had his clashes with Juan Manuel Marquez for those reasons. Does that mean Mexicans love Gamboa? Well Mares landed a higher percentage of his punches against PDL, Gamboa is not that accurate but he's very fast.

I gotta respect Mares for having tough fight after tough fight. The kid is always testing himself. I appreciate that. With that being said. I think Gamboa takes this one.
