Interesting. So you feel Canelo will walk Mayweather down at some point and KO him?

I understand why some ppl feel that Canelo is too BIG (even at 152). He is much bigger than Floyd. I'd be BS'ing if I said I didn't have slight concerns about the size differential.

However, Canelo really couldn't walk Austin Trout down. I know Trout is not faster, nor does he punch harder than Mayweather. But Mayweather is a master boxer. He instinctively knows when to punch, when to hold, when to switch from defense to offense.

I'm not sure Canelo is prepared for such a ring general like Mayweather.

I got Mayweather by SD or UD.

Canelo's size is a real factor tho...

Canelo was in a comfort zone with Trout. He didnt have to walk him down! They knew he was ahead on the cards. Trout new he was behind and could do nothing about it.
You cant judge a fight that had open scoring on ones performance.

I rarely comment on your posts as you are always on your "agenda" but I found a flaw in this statement: You can be a master ducker/cherry picker/runner, and still be a master boxer. Sure, no one is going to convince you to like Floyd or think of him as anything other than a coward and a runner, but even if it's true, that doesn't mean he isn't a master boxer, he just doesn't care to use those skills.


If you are going to campaign against the dude, at least be fair about it.

We all know he ducked Margartio Manny and Cotto in his prime. He lso ducked out the rematch with DLH by his fake retirement. (knowing he was lucky to have pulled off the win.)
He fights Name fighters at the cross roads of their career with a hudge fan following. Normally LWs with WW advantage or better. LOL you call that a MASTER of Boxing.

I have to agree with that, I know people from my gym that travel down to Wild Card now and then and they tell me he's a pretty nice guy, me being a student of the game, I would love to have him work me with pads for a few rounds, any boxing knowledge, any he dropped my way I would lap it up and cherish it forever, and I have worlds of respect for my trainer who fought for a world title in the 80s, but Roach, like Naseem or Roger Mayweather I would be honored to even have a moment with any of them to learn something.

I'm already dreading the ridiculous amount of fawning over Mayweather after this fight, where people pretend it is some huge shock and unexpected result that Mayweather dominated Alvarez.
