If floyd mayweather was floyd rios this fight would've happened in 2009 becuase manny wouldn't of balked at ped testing.

Manny and his team avoided the floyd fight the same way they did a potential fight with zahir raheem- JMM with his 66-67 in reach got to Manny so he made sure not to fight the guys who are faster and have a reach in excess of 70in. They would box and move and fight at a distance-not exactly playing to Manny's strengths.

It isn't a coincidence that floyd, zahir, junior jones, zab, were all fights avoided by Manny and his team? well it is to his diehard fans.

of course HBO is butthurt. remember lampley ****ting on showtime for the broner/paulie backlash. lampley is VERY passive aggressive.

i have no doubt HBO will try to downplay floyd/canelo as a one-sided fight, try to take the steam away from the allure. showtime got floyd fighting TWICE for them, HBO is hurt.

I wouldn't say butthurt-I would say surprised that the fight is so big. HBO made a calculation that floyd wasn't a good long term investment. So far they are wrong.

Floyd did nothing for Ghost and the fight did as much as HBO did with floyd and hatton-which had a 5 city press tour. I think it surprised Herschman. I think SHowtim's improved cards has as well.

I think showtime investing in softening floyd's demeanor/image in the lead up to the ghost fight is paying off. Of course with floyd you are always one second away from him doing some dumb a$$ ni&&a *****.

but since I've seen the light...I only see Floyd being the winner if that fight had ever popped off
