I'm already dreading the ridiculous amount of fawning over Mayweather after this fight, where people pretend it is some huge shock and unexpected result that Mayweather dominated Alvarez.

Yes, but it's impossible to predict. Mayweather is such a dedicated athlete. He's so talented, so skilled and so smart in the ring. I can see Floyd hanging around almost as long as he feels like. He may not approach Hopkins's longevity (Bernard's a very rare bird), but I can imagine Mayweather fighting until age 40, if he feels like it.

but since I've seen the light...I only see Floyd being the winner if that fight had ever popped off
I once felt the same way. I thought Manny would beat Floyd. I still think Pacquiao, at his best, might've pulled it off. Manny hovered at a very high level for a time, but now only Mayweather remains. I don't think Alvarez could beat Floyd at any weight "Money" would care to fight at.

I will forever believe Pacquiao would have beat Mayweather in 2010 when the fight first could have happened. **** them both for avoiding each other.

Dude, every objective fight fan knows why the fight didn't happen, none of the parties made it easy for the other. Simple as that, take your agenda else where.

One of the great fights that never happened. I was convinced that it would've come off, that the bags of money it promised virtually guaranteed that those two would face each other. I was wrong.

Lol Pac fans cringe at that name! And Roach was giving his honest opinion and some Pac fans still try and twist it.

You turn down a 50/50 split from Floyd Mayweather. Good luck trying to convince me they wanted the fight.

Because pac man turned down the fight, he ducked mayweather. all he had to do was say yes, Pac ducked floyd twice. he was offered the fight and declined.
He declined blaming needles and drug testing, then he declined because arum didnt have enough time to build an outdoor stadium. Pacman ducked him with all these excuses. If you think JMM's counter rights where giving Pac trouble, what was he gonna do against Mayweathers counters.
