Time to forgive and FORGET. These two are going to throw down.
What are you talking about? "Olympic style" drug testing is the biggest farce in boxing. Arum's saving grace is that he doesn't give a ***** and doesn't pretend to. What he cares about these days is China.

Memo is against VADA because of Victor Conte, in my opinion. Memo hates Victor Conte, and Victor Conte hates him. They literally go at each other for hours everyday! If Bradley and Marquez did USADA, it would be the same thing as them doing VADA. The main difference is just cost, USADA is much more expensive. The other difference is the fact that VADA doesn't try to enact penalties over positive results. Whereas, USADA does. They will try to really push to get you suspended, banned, etc. And they can haunt you for a long time (ask Lance Armstrong).

Now if Memo rejected the idea of using both USADA and VADA, that would be interesting. And this is what Victor Conte tries to argue too. He believes that Memo is really uninterested in using neither USADA or VADA. Saying that Memo only wants to use 'NADA' as in spanish for nothing. Hah. Because so far, none of Memo's fighters has ever tested with either USADA or VADA. Unless someone wants to count Rigo, who's not officially his fighter.

Seems like a strange set-up. Why would the commission not contract VADA or USADA to do the testing instead of using seemingly independent labs.

And who's to say if it's as "stringent as any drug testing of USADA or VADA." It's real easy to say that, but who's going to be able to tell if it's true or not. Surely the whole point of VADA and USADA is that the labs they use are of highest standard and they had the authority and credibility to conduct the proper tests.

The state authority thing is appealing as Arum no doubt understands, but how this actually works in practice is another matter.

And some people can't see how Floyd vs. Manny couldn't get done. Bob Arum is the biggest problem in boxing, bar none.

The commission should step up to the plate and do the right thing. If that meant contracting VADA and USADA, then do it. If one or the other fighter was proven to be using illegal drugs, then so be it. Cancel the fight and move on. Cases like these and in these times it's probably high time to do something drastic.

This kinda makes sense, but I'm su****ious of this "So maybe they'll use another lab..." - Bob Arum.

I would like to hear NSAC come out and say that they will use the same WADA labs that USADA and VADA uses.
