GBP has the better fighters right now. But being off HBO hurts them, a lot. HBO gave them another platform and more dates for their fighters. They also have the bigger budget. If they were smart, they better kiss and make up with HBO.

Gbp has a lot of the current stars at 140,147 and 154. But top rank will be ok if u look at there roster they have a sh&& load of prospects moving threw the ranks. Both companies are doing fine

HBO > Showtime by miles in terms of viewership. HBO's card featured a boring quitter vs a pedo and a guy who has barely managed to remain relevant on the under card. Showtime's card was actually really good.

And we still don't know if Matthysse vs Garcia will happen or not, it should have been confirmed a long time ago.
The ratings had more to do with network that Promotion company.

GBP have lots of prospects but they seem to be putting all their eggs in the Mayweather basket. Garcia/Matthysse should have been announced by now, but Showtime don't seem to have that kind of money and resources HBO has.

Which fights exactly hasn't Arum made lately that you wanted? In the past year, we got Chavez-Martinez and Donaire-Rigo, which is pretty the much the main two people wanted out of Top Rank. What else is there?

uh, people have been asking for Matthysse vs Garcia way before Peterson-Matthysse, and Matthysse was the mandatory for around a year now. That's hardly "as soon as."

GBP just cost SHO at least $12 million dollars

Thats half there boxing budget and its not even half of the year yet. Expect SHO to start cutting way back for the rest of the year which means less fights. It doesn't matter how deep GBP stable is.

I dont think that GBP is killing Top rank...

GBP may have a deeper roster, and top ranks roster is getting old
but bob arum has been in the game a long time... He is probably the smartest guy in boxing.... I think Al haymon has taken some power away from arum amd that has hurt top rank in terms of signing guys but at the end of the day Top rank has HBO, still draws huge numbers, and is invading china....
I think GBP is slightly ahead, but its not by much and could change anytime

GBP is killing TR by a mile!

Why are some bringing up HBO v Showtime? What does that have to do with quality of fights being put on by promotional companies. Big deal one cable company has more subscribers. doesnt mean the fights are better

TR's promotional strategies are way better. Just wait when Marquez/Bradley come out to promote their fight. You can't beat the old veteran.

Showtime lost $12 million in the Mayweather fight. What does that tell you? TR doesn't even give a **** about GBP. TR is doing fine.
