These CWs are highly unusual, you should think about reasons why.

So how do you feel about the lineal belt being decided at a CW?
let me ask you this, how did you feel about chavez vs whitaker at a catchweight, also for linear championship?

you dont need a novel because you have no real evidence other than your own hipocrisy.

i am one of those who critisized pacquiao for the catchweight fights and i firmly disagree with this being at a catchweight, i see no reason for it, but it is what it is.

no catchweight for a "divisional opponent" thats ****** as hell and grasping at straws. give it up.

    • Pleased about the fight.

      Disappointed about the catchweight.

I don't buy any of this Canelo doesn't struggle to make weight so it's ok. If that's so why would Floyd bother with the cw and expose himself to all the ridicule particularly for what he's said about Pac.

When Floyd and Pac retire boxing will be a better sport.

Weighing in from 147-154 a day before and having well over 24 to rehydrate is no problem whatsoever these days, as most do it, and he often does rehydrate up to 165-170, but right at fight time? Different story entirely.

Few fighters today would fight at the division they weigh in at if that was still the rule. It's like pretending Pac would have been fighting great as a featherweight 50 years ago like he did against Barrera, Marquez etc...the only problem being he couldn't weigh in as a welterweight...kind of a 'big' problem.
I understand how he system works, I was trying to point out to the Floyd haters how much of a size advantage Canelo has even at 152. I get how Floyd is a hypocrite for the catchweight, but after hydration Canelo has the size advantage

Chavez was not a welter champ when he requested the CW. If he did, he'd be sullying his belt. I'm sure you understand, you're just desperate to create "moral equivalence". Which is hilarious after ****ting on Pac all these years, that equivalence if the best you can hope for, if I let you off the hook out of boredom.

            • From Sugar Q 2010: "Donny Lalonde was a smallish Lt-heavy so making 168 wasn't a problem for him, Ray wasn't making him come down to weaken him like Manny did Cotto". Come again?

              • First and foremost - this could be a great fight. With Floyd, there's always a risk that he takes the sting out of the fight by round 4. But if Canelo keeps up his side and makes the fight competitive like Cotto did - this could be a tremendous fight.

Saying that, Mayweather's hypocrisy is hilarious. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter - the actual fight is way more important than point scoring between the 'tards and the Flaggots.

However, this guy is one fight removed from doing the very thing he was sh-tting on another fighter for doing. The very same thing. That is not something that can be ignored. He made a conscious decision to pursue the catchweight angle for the Cotto fight. As long we all acknowledge he's a lying, hypocritical opportunist scumbag, let that be the end of that. Seriously, we can't have 4 months of crying about catchweights.

                    • Yeah, its a catch weight and all but so far from what its known there is no hydration clause like the one on Pac vs Cotto where Miguel was to be fined 1 million per lbs over 145 and no fight if it was over 147 even if it was one once!

Catch weight or not Canelos is going to get his $h1t pushed in by Floyd.

Canelo need to stop making excuses on why he will lose the fight...its not going to matter, cw or not.

I got 300B on FMJr. come and get it!
