Honestly I'd rather see Canelo fight Trout again somewhere other than Texas. That fight should have been scored closer and if Trout can avoid getting rocked (which he did for 10 of the 12 rounds) he could get a decision over Canelo.

Ward, GGG, Kid Chocolate etc... will weigh around 5 to 6 pounds more than Canelo on fight night! And GGG might actually weigh the same! He wants to fight P4P greats right?

You ignore the fact that Floyd has a 154 belt and Canelo is his mandatory. Why should he drop weight when Floyd has no problem fighting at 154? Is he only able to fight washed up/damaged goods fighters like Cotto when he steps up?

Canelo hasn't fought below 154 in 3 years for Floyd to have

him come down would drain him and be unhealthy just

as PAC did to DlH. DlH couldn't even get thro the fight.

Floyd also has a belt at 154 so why can't he fight at 154 and defend it?

Yes exactly! That's the only reason he went up to 154 to fight Cotto. Floyd actually weighed in at 151. Plus on fight night I'm sure he and Cotto were still relatively the same weight (news flash!!! Cotto is not really a JMW either). No way should Floyd move up to fight Canelo at 154 and give up 20 lbs on fight night. I don't think any fighter should do that.

I wouldn't mind a catch weight in this case though. Maybe at 150

Mayweather was an undersized Welterweight, when he fought Oscar at 154. Mayweather made the decision to agree to The terms Oscar had set, that's how bad Mayweather wanted the fight. If Canelo wants to fight Mayweather, the. He will agree to the demands. In order to be the man, you have to beat the man. A win vs Mayweather sends Canelo to a new galaxy. A win vs Canelo does nothing for Mayweather's career.

Floyd fought Oscar and Cotto at 154, why can't he do the same for Canelo? He's fought up to 154 so I see no excuse for him NOT to fight the best at that weight again. If he fought Canelo at 47, it's worse than PacMans fight with Margo at 150.
