the fact that someone even mentioned a fight between alvarez and mayweather below 154 lbs is ridiculous to me. i don't believe mayweather fights him next (even though it looks possible right now), they will fight sometime down the line. mayweather and his die hard fans talk about money all the time, there really isn't a bigger fight out there besides alvarez, unless pacquiao makes a good comeback from his loss. we'll see what happens, but asking for mayweather/alvarez at 147 is pathetic.

What's pathetic is someone who weighs as a Lhw on fight night wanting to fight a ww who's highest weight has been 151 while he comes in over 170. Yet he ducks guys closer to his size ggg, martinez, Chavez. He has feasted on smaller guys, he won't fight Angulo, Kirkland, or Lara. He's a coward

Mayweather will soon be the past and Canelo is the present and will be the future. Mayweather won't loose his 0 his whole legacy relies on that "0" and that's it, and if anybody has a chance call it "to much weight" or whatever you want is Canelo so he won't fight him.

He wants to take full ownership of the 154 WBA belt, currently held by #1 rated SWW contender Floyd. It's the biggest money fight for both, GBP wants it, so does Showtime. Seems like a no brainer

Does this mean there are no negotiations taking place? Why is Alvarez clueless about the weight issue? September is just a few months away and at this stage they're supposedly wrapping everything up and getting ready to announce the fight.
