Canelo was in Panama to meet with the WBA, as the sanctioning body officially presented him with the world title that he captured last month in his unification bout with Austin Trout. Golden Boy Promotions has been trying to finalize a deal for Canelo to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
