    Weak sauce.
The fact that negotiations have been silent over the past couple of weeks is a good sign though.

Said it before and I will say it again, Floyd will never step in the ring with Ginger.
Forget the money, if it was all about the money then we would have seen 2 or 3 May vs Pac fights by now. Plus Floyd gets paid whether he fights Canelo or Devon Alexander, which fight you think he would rather take. I have seen nothing to say that Showtime has any say in picking Mayweather's opponents.
This guy wants to keep that 0 at all costs. His legacy is nothing without it. He has no hall of fame memorable moments, his style is boring, and he has had no rivalry with anybody.
He will avoid risks at all costs. You can say what you want about Canelo skill wise at this point in his career, but the guy has game changing power and will be able to cut off the ring like no one Floyd has seen since he was at 135.
I say again I will eat major crow and give Floyd major props if he takes this fight now or in the future, but I just don't see it happening.

Get your fork and plate ready. I guarantee you it happens in September. There are no other options for him. All this weight talk is just being used to negotiate a better deal.

The "end of May" deadline is getting close.

As it should be, good on Alvarez. If May doesn't want to fight at 154 he should give up the 154 belt. Simple.

This is not about May ducking, or that Saul has not done enough/fought anyone of importance to demand anything from May. If you plan on holding a belt there, you have to defend it, and not say things like but Alvarez will weigh 170lbs on fight night.

I guess Canelo doesn't really want the fight if he did he'd make some concessions if needed to make the fight happen, he has no real bargaining chips to dictate the terms. Still hope the fight happens at 147 or 154.

There is no reason for this fight to take place below 154 lbs. Where is the glory in draining guys down? Not every fight has to be a "fair" fight FFS!

i think some of you are missing the point here. if the fight doesnt happen, it wont be because floyd is a ***** or because canelo is ducking. it isnt happening because no one is gonna dictate terms to floyd...period. floyd will beat anyone they put in front of him but he isnt gonna do it unless he gets his way. he is the cash cow. i dont like it but its reality. he brings the ppv numbers, bottom line, thats the way it is. its the reason may-pac didnt happen and itll be the reason if this fight doesnt happen.

If Floyd doesn't fight Canelo now, he'll never fight him. People trip hard sometimes. Canelo will only get better and Floyd will only get older. The longer he waits, the more dangerous the fight becomes. If he doesn't fight Canelo, we'll just throw him on up there with the Punisher and Margarito, who Floyd already ducked.

Arguello moved up to fight Pryor, Delahoya moved up to fight Vargas, Mosley moved up to fight Wright, Whitaker moved up to fight McGirt, with no special requests.
