It's funny how all you guys calling Floyd a ***** this and that but manny drained a non plaster marg down to 150 and he couldn't hydrate back up. Ward Brought Dawson down. Oscar and hopkins met at a catch weight. khan fought Diaz at a catch weight list goes on and on. Absolutely not. Floyd is a champ at 154. Floyd stated he would fight people at their comfortable weights with no catch weights. If Floyd was not a champion at 154 I could see your point about Alvarez challenging him from a higher weight, but that is simply not the case. The main demand here is a challenge for the belt in the weight class both fighters share a title in.

Floyd needs to be stripped of that belt ASAP. He's a paper champion as far the 154 lbs division is concerned, and even his most ardent supporters know it.

Paper Champ? Floyd beat up the number 1 guy at 154 in Cotto for that WBA Strap. A paper champ would be Canelo, being awarded a vacant WBC belt. That being said, this fight should take place at 154 as long as Floyd is a champ at that weight. If Floyd doesn't fight Canelo now, he'll never fight him. People trip hard sometimes. Canelo will only get better and Floyd will only get older. The longer he waits, the more dangerous the fight becomes. If he doesn't fight Canelo, we'll just throw him on up there with the Punisher and Margarito, who Floyd already ducked.
