Idk why people are ****ting on Tyson and to try and say he dunno anything about boxing is dumb. Yet the guy was a boxer himself.

The most exciting part of that fight was both Sr's talking smack to each other right before and after the fight.

That to me was Floyd's best performance since Marquez, a master piece. That's actually why I'm a fan of his, of course Floyd's style isn't for everyone but what he displayed is pretty much why I watch.

hes not being penalised for being too good, he's being RECOGNISED for being too good. and all these guys- guerrero, khan, alexander, mattyse, garcia, are either JWW or have been there for about 18 months. its ok for floyd to cherry pick them but he can't go up to SMW. he can only go to 154 if its a midget 154-er like Cotto. otherwise, it's a no-go zone.

we all know he aint gonna lose. but all we want is a somewhat competitive fight. is that too much to ask for the best fighter of this era?
when people say this I respond by saying that 1st off Floyd came from 130. Dont forget that. 2nd, he was 146 in the ring at WW against Zab when guys like Pac were 145 in the ring for 130 pound fights so he's not big.

Now people like to say he fought Oscar & Cotto but I always say he was small time before Oscar and the Cotto fight was then 5 whole years later. Thats the only 2 he's had and they were 5 years apart. The funny thing is if you ask people what was Floyd's 2 worst performnances in the last 5 years they would say Oscar & Cotto.

So again, whats wrong with taking the big money Oscar fight, realizing you were too small for 154 and going back down. 5 years later you give it another try, realize that you are still too small and go back down again?

I always say that I could see if Floyd just totally "Gatti'd" Oscar or even Cotto and didnt wanna fight Canelo. I could also see if Floyd fought a ton of ohter 154 pound guys but didnt fight Canelo. However, that isnt the case. He tried and each time he had fights where he didnt think he looked or felt like himself. Alot of people think Cotto is a lil small and even he bullied Floyd into corners so whats wrong with him saying that I tried but 154 is too much so Im going back down?

Again, if he was trying to fight someone else at 154, then you can call him a duck. He fought Cotto and it wasnt great. If he killed him then that would be one thing but he got a lil beat up. You can understand him saying that he doesnt belong there if you are being fair.

Dont get it twisted, he should be stripped if he doesnt fight there next and if he does fight Canelo then it should be at 154 but I can understand him saying that he tried and its too much for him. I mean, you cant go forever. Alot of these guys have only been in 1 and people give them a pass for not going one higher but Floyd's been to 5 and he's a chump if he doesnt move up again when he's only 150 in the ring? If he wa 160 then I could see it but hes not. He's small

Didn't Donaire have like 17 lbs on Rigo? He had height advantage too. I'm tired of this size advantage bs excuse. Didn't Chavez Jr have like 20 lbs on Martinez? Come on man...

His fights are prdictable because he's the main fighter, he's the promoter, he's the matchmaker its all about him not the opposition thats become just another opponent! He's back to cherrypicking like you do when bringing up a kid with some promise. Then once the talents & skills are developed and you become a champion then you fight all the best available! He doesn't do that and his operation is a conflict of interest to the well being of the sport but it suits him fine and his "brown nosed fans' don't know the difference!
i prefer more exciting fellows like GGG and Broner who aren't as polished but are just about ready to make their statements if they can servive being punched in the face more than 8 times!!!!!! hahaha we'll see!

I agree with Michael, the guy is just to boring to be relevant to me!
Paint dry is a compliment! Ray.
I thought you were onto something until you brought up Broner. You do realize that Broner hasn't faced anybody, right?

The thing is Floyd can put masterpieces against the Guerreros, the Tatas, the Gattis, but he won't challenge himself much. He doesn't dare to. I think the only time he dared himself was the Castillo rematch and he won it clearly showing a masterpiece. I am sorry but Guerrero isn't half the fighter Castillo was in his prime. Floyd's best wins in my opinion were the Corralez, Castillo 2 and Mosley because he actually took on those challenges. Castillo 2 being the sternest challenge.
