If that's the case, why the need to selectively quote from articles to try to discredit Calzaghe? It's almost as if you aren't convinced.

Calzaghe is for the casual fans who like a nice tidy "0"

Froch is a throwback gladiator for real fight fans

That's like giving Holmes credit for Ali. It's literally true, but the context is important. I'm not even sure Ward is HOF yet either. I'd say its likely, and he is WELL on track, but if he ran into a Lloyd Honeyghan type (a la Curry) or a Toney (a la Michael Nunn who was about as highly regarded as Ward to a wider audience), the HOF could vanish.
When i was talking about the three HOF worthy fighters that calzaghe beat I was talking about hopkins, kessler and eubank.

the jones win doesn't even count in my book.

I really think kess is HOF worthy - lucas, beyer, mundine, andrade and froch is nothing to be looked down upon. In his prime he beat every SMW he faced except 2.

Eubank has never even made the ballot. I have written about why I think he, and Benn, both should be up for the vote. Kessler getting a vote would be good with me someday too.

Eubank and Froch are a level above Benn IMO

I disagree, Benn beat Eubank in that rematch. Froch is made of Steel but even he hasnt been in with a puncher like Benn who was just vicious in his assaults!

Eubank stands out to me when u name those three fighters not Benn. And its not because i think he's a lesser fighter but it because he was a duck, Benn went to war with the Yanks, Froch too but Bank openly ducked the best.

Benn beat Eubank but other than that he has Mclellan, a scrappy middleweight and not much else.

Benn was as thrilling in his day, IMO, as Gatti with higher quality opp, wins, and a lengthy title reign at 68. Eubank (loss and draw), McClellan, Barkley, wars with others win and lose, sold tickets mad...he had a pretty full docket.
