Nah, he should just hand it over to Canelo.

I mean if he fought Canelo at 154 with no clauses or catch weights he'd practically be handing it over anyway..

Don't expect to hear him admit to it and if he does, there will be excuses for his hypocrisy. You are dimissed. Come back when you can do like other Floyd fans with dignity who have a disproval of what Floyd is doing. Go. Next.
First off I don't go by we need to hear it from his camp crap, if I did please show me.
Second, his camp can say all they want until Floyd says it then we can go at him
third Floyd did not call out Canelo, it was the other way around, and when you call someone out you fight them at their weight, now why is Canelo calling out a guy who campaigns at 147 and not be willing to fight Floyd at his best weight, why does a young fighter want to fight Floyd where he is not comfortable? Does he fear to fight Floyd at an even plain field?

        • I don't get it. What reason would Mayweather have to not take this fight? It does not make sense.

          • Every time I see one of these threads, Alvarez's fight night weight increases. First he weighs in the 160s. Then he's 170. Now he's weighing between 175-180.

            Whatever makes you feel better.

I don't believe Floyd will weight drain Canelo, when all is said and done. Its posturing for negotiation, and its done all the time in business.
And this is the reason why you don't negotiate through the media.

I said something similar in the previous thread and it still makes sense to me. I can see both sides being the case. We'll just have to wait and see.

I agree that Floyd worked himself into this position, just like he had to concede just about everything to Oscar, but still not a good look for him. This coming from a Floyd fan. That said Floyd Sr. is not the shot caller, so I'll wait for FMJ, Schaefer or Oscar to actually comment.

                • ohhh and all you ****ing idiots, saying Canelo will be drained.... check his post world title bouts, they are all at welterweight. I assure you he is the one ducking, idiots don't know **** about this.

Why fight at welterweight v Pacquiao, Marquez, Floyd, Bradley who are all live opponents when you can jump them, fight Matthew Hatton for a vacant light middleweight belt and defend against Ryan Rhodes and old Shane Mosley. Now you suddenly can't make welterweight at ****ing 22???:*******:

I think part of it is that Floyd's ego is so massive that he doesn't like it when people try to force him into a fight. He goes the other way just to prove that he don't care what people think.

                    • i think cotto will have more guts to challenge Canelo than Floyd is.....Cotto is more of a warrior while Floyd is a protector of his "0" loss record until he retires...How Floyd can achieve this????by continuing to fight opponents he has tons of advantages or the ones he knew he can beat easily......this is where Floyd is right now...a man who's not looking for big challenges that awaits him...
a man who doesn't want to risk and just want to protect the 0 loss record by fighting lesser opponent.....greatness will not be achieved if floyd mentality is as such.....
