See but I'm not asking him to fight anyone in a weight class he hasnt already competed in. 160, 168. He's a 2x champ at 154.

That is a good point, he was probably 155 or so on fight night. If Canelo weighs it at 165, it's like 10 lbs but w/e, if it's too much for him, it is what it is.

well in most of my post I said upwards of 25 pounds. We dont know Floyd's weight vs Cotto because he didnt do it. Against Ortiz the fight before though he was 150 but Ill give you the Cotto weigh-in of 151. Canelo was not 170 but 172 vs Trout but thats what everyone harps on.

I talk about more than that. Thats why I always say its such & such in the ring and even more than that naturally. Thats the part everyone leaves out. Its not just the fight night weight but you also then have to factor in the natural weight. Floyd is 148 on the 30 day weigh-in.

He walks around at 150. Canelo walks around probably close to 190. If the weigh-in's were on Thursdays like HW's then Canelo would probably be over 180 in the ring while Floyd would still be the same. Its a big difference

So according to you all that "Hard work and dedication" 90 day training camp and all he loses is 3lbs between signing the fight and the final weigh in? Dude if Mayweather walks around at anything less than 160 I would be shocked.

so he's 148 with 30 days to go but he's 155 on fight night even though he's never been anywhere close to it? A 21yo Canelo is 165 and you guys dont think he will ever get bigger? The 172 isnt real but the 165 is? He's still growing. He'll probably have to go to MW soon

even reporters will tell you that. Muscle is weight too and you eat alot. You dont have to lose massive weight. Alot of HW's do the same too. Floyd use to get no bigger than 150-151. Ill be shocked now if he gets over 155. I still say he's closer to 150 than he is 155 in between fights

Ortiz weighed 164 for his fight with May. Floyd was 151. Went up four pounds. Floyd didn't look like he had any trouble with Vic despite the 13 pounds advantage for Ortiz. So let's say Floyd comes on at 155 on fight night and Canelo 170. That's just 2 pounds more then Ortiz. So are we really gonna cry over 2 pounds.

here is what I wrote in another thread when people talk about floyd already having fought at 154:

They always bring up he fought Oscar & Cotto there. The Oscar & Cotto fights were 5 years apart to the date. 5 years. Most of the same people ripping him for this are the same people who say that Floyd's 2 worst fights in the last decade are the Oscar & Cotto fights.

I could see if one of 2 things happened. I could see if Floyd looked great in thsoe fights or just against Cotto. I could see if he totally dominated, stopped Cotto, etc.. and then says he doesnt want Canelo at 154. That didnt happen.

I could also see if Floyd fought like 5 fights there and now wont fight Canelo. That didnt happen. I could see if he's saying NO to Canelo but yes to someone else at 154. That didnt happen.

Sure he said what you said he said about Cotto but what did he say after the fight? He talked about how tough Cotto was and how much punishment he took. So much so that he called his dad to come back in to train him. He's talked non stop about it. Whats wrong with him fighting Oscar for the money, realizing he was too small, and then going back to WW?

Now 5 years later he gives it aother shot, realizes there is a limit where he has to stop, and again goes back to WW? Again, you guys are acing like he Gatti'd Cotto or that he's fighting a ton of other guys but not Canelo. Its not the case

I disagree, Floyd is taller and bigger framed than Pacquaio and I don't believe Pacquaio walks around at less than 155 so no way do I see Floyd not being around 160 when he's not fighting..you are talking about 8 hours less in training a day when these guys aren't fighting..the water weight alone based on height and age bracket.
