Hey, trust me, I felt the same way. I made post saying my dream scenerio for the Canelo fight is for Floyd with Senior back to show he can move again and also hoping he maybe looked a lil bulky like he did in the jail pics and actually came into the ring a 156 pounds. I said if he did that then Canelo and everyone else at 154 is in trouble.

Problem is I went to the Trout-Canelo fight. They were already big and they got even bigger. At the same exact time Floyd's 30 day weigh-in pics come out and he's 148. Not only did Floyd not grow but Canelo got even bigger. Alot bigger. It started to change the whole dynamics of the fight

      No he shouldn't.

Catchweights don't belong in the sport.

Floyd doesn't / won't fight at catchweight either - he's already stated this.

And beating a fighter who is drained diminishes the victory.

155-156? Yeah, it's conceivable. That would likely be on a bad eating week, smack between fights during a years break, probably sitting in a jail cell...bet he'd weigh in at low 150's for any JMW fight though, regardless.

He could be fighting Canelo, I hear his names on some hypothetical list. I hope it happens, probably will & likely NOT at a catchweight....FMJ doesn't really do those.

There are various fighters in the sport who campaign at a weight that they're too big small for.

Obv, Floyd can call the shots and he's entitled to do that.

I enjoy watching Floyd put clinics on fighters - he a genius but boxing fans just want to see competitive fights.
I agree. I would absolutely love to see that fight. It would be mega.

I do disagree with most though. I think the fight is way better in May personally. The fight is huge now but it gets mega big if Canelo beats Cotto. Meanwhile Floyd gets one more fight with his dad to knock the kinks out and they can fight a righty to see how he matches up. Add to that you get alot more time to promote the fight. Itw just 4 months between n ow & September but 8 months between September & May. Also gives Floyd more time to try to put on a lil weight for the fight if he wanted.

All in all, dont get it twisted. I wanna see the fight and I would be there just like I went to both of there last fights. However, I can completely understand Floyd not wanting to do that. The weight is alot and I havent watched it on tape yet but from the stands it looked like Canelo was throwing George Foreman type blows at Trout....lol

There are alot of fights I would wanna see. Floyd's one of the best ever so I would wanna see him fight alot of guys at 154. I would wanna see him fight guys at 160 including triple G. I would even like to see a fight with Ward. If they announced a Ward fight right now, wouldnt you watch? Wouldnt it be by far the biggest fight in boxing?

My point is just because you wouldnt mind seeing something doesnt mean you cant understand why it might not happened. That is unless you got to the point where you either wanna see him lose or dont care if he loses or not. If you say you dont care if he loses and thats how it should be then fine but dont all of assudden try to discredit his whole career if he does because thats what will happen.

It all at the end comes back to fairness. I wanna see those fights but is it fair? Are you asking that of anyone else in boxing? Its not like Floyd has fought at one weight his whole life and you are asking him to just move up one or fight one bigger guy. He's fought in 5 classes. Its also not like he's prime. He's past his prime. Its also not like he's still kinda young. He's going on 37.

Again, when it comes to Pac. That fight shouldve happend. There is no excuse for that. Those guys had to make it happen. This is nearly 25 pounds. Its not the same thing. Now it comes back to Floyd being too good. You 1st have to give him credit and aknowledge he's too good. You have to say that these fights at 140-147 are bad fighters but they just arent on your level. You have to admit that 1st.

Then you have to say that we know its not fair but youre so good that we dont wanna see you in a fight unless you are at a big disadvantage. Is it really fair to say that we want you in a fight where you might lose so these are the guys you have to fight? We arent doing that to anyone else. We arent telling Ward he has to fight a Cruiser. We wont even make him go to LHW.

Same for Froch and so on

I wouldnt be shocked if Senior is the main reason behind this Canelo weight thing (if true). Senior has said it for years whenever they ask him about Floyd doing this or that at higher weights.

Its not just him though. A ton of fighters and trainers say the same. They say they call him lil Floyd and its not because he's a Jr. He's just a small guy. Even alot of them now are calling Floyd maybe the best ever but shouldnt fight Canelo because of the size. They dont even say it like they favor Canelo because of the size advantage but they say it more like they shouldnt even fight because of it

Floyd and Canelo have competed in the same weight class so idgaf what anyone says, it's a duck. And idk why he's ducking him, he's the best fighter going right now. That gets made today, my money is on Floyd. Damn near everyone's money will be pon Floyd. So wtf is the problem??? If you can make the weight the day of the weigh in, it doesn't matter what you weigh on fight night. Unless now, all of the sudden it does. Dare to great Floyd. Greater then you already are. What's the point of fighting Alexander??? Serious question, wtf is the point??? And for $70 at that. Smh

thats what it is man because its bascially weather people wanna admit it or not, youre telling him to go until he loses. Like youre suppose to be in this group but your too good so you move to the next group and youre still too good. You keep going until you finally say "ok stop". This is the group you have to be in now but unfortuantely for you, the guy has 25 pounds on you. Dont worry though, its a fair and even fight. BTW, if you dont take it youre a coward........lol

Seriously, its like none of the guys in the group around you can beat you so we have to take you to a group where you have a chance to lose. Here is the 25 pound plus group. Fight him, coward

According to Canelo's coach FMJ refused the catchweight, it sounded like Alvarez was willing to meet him halfway.

At the end of the day if Floyd doesn't want to fight, he doesn't want to fight. He should get on with boxing his Guerreros and Maidanas and forget about JMW.

Floyd would me the favorite right now over anyone at 160 also. Doesnt make it smart for him to fght there. I truly venture to say that he would be the betting favorite in vegas over anyone at 168 not named Ward either. Doesnt make it smart for him to fight there

It's not 25 pounds. What was Floyd's fight night weight when he fought Cotto??? He weighed in at 151 but how many pounds did he put on overnight???? Canelo weighed 170 right???
